We have turned the corner!

The road woes are over, we're going to sweep through the last three games and grab the #2 seed.

Then its onto Cleveland where we will dominate...

Can't go into Cleveland with our heads too big.  As we saw before, getting into foul trouble like tonight is not going to result in a W vs Akron.  Also, were still too dependent on the 3, but the rebounding effort tonight was tremendous and got us the big W.

I'll tell ya where we'll go. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talkin' bout a little place called... ATHENS.

To me tonight the key was CONSISTENT ENERGY - can't always hit on all cylanders - but as long as we're hittin' on most, most of the time..........and keeping the petal to the metal........

Uhhhhhhhh...this is the overreact to the Buffalo win thread, not the be rational after the Buffalo win thread...

We will never have foul trouble again...we are NOT too dependent on the 3...We are the greatest team in the history of the Mid-American Conference!

My high school football coach always said after a win to celebrate it, but not settle for it.  We can lose the next three games just as easily as we could win them, so it's going to be key to ride the momentum into our next games.

But, as fans, why not be a little giddy?

First stretch with three solid games in a row since mid-December.  I'm trying not to get over-excited, but damn they looked good tonight.  Only 8 TOs; 9 steals; 36-32 rebound edge (17-9 offensive rebs); 20-21 at the line (according to ESPN).

I don't expect Fiami to win at Buffalo Saturday, but if BGSUcks should win at home vs. Kent, a win against Akron Sunday would be huge toward nailing down 2nd place.

We will get by.

Impossible to be over excited - as a fan. That's our role.

We hold the lead for 2nd place at this point, with 2 wins over UB and one over Kent.

So when we win out in the regular season and dominate the MAC tourney, what seed do we get?

I'm thinking a 12. Ah yes, we could be the dreaded 12/5 for....Indiana?

(I will bump this thread when it happens don't worry...)

Ohio was a 14 seed after finishing ninth in the MAC. I think it would be at least one spot higher this time.

14?

With 27 wins and a domination of Akron in the MAC finals?  I better see a pissed off Special K on the tourney show if that happens...

You realize that that doesn't negatively affect anything, right?  All it does is make it easier to get the ball across in 10 seconds. We still get the same 35 seconds to run our offense, or run the clock, after he picks it up.  The only thing it did was make the end of the game in actual time 5 seconds longer.   So in effect it was a smart play.
