Remember how everyone was tearing their hair out over Ivo's performance the first 2 games? I think he took notice...

20 points, 6 boards, 4 steals, and 10-12 from the field

Not to mention MUCH better shot selection and he actually attempted to CREATE rather than fade-away.

The great thing about this team is that even when a couple guys have off nights, others step up and take over. It's never the same guy. Rather than whine about who's having an off night, let's start cheering about those that play well.

This could be a very, very fun season.

Great game for Ivo, his dad was in attendance sporting some spectacular green and white shorts, seemed to really enjoy the performance , really fun.

Can't help but see his dad at the games. Never met him, but seems like quite the character! Proud to have Ivo as a Bobcat.

For the most part Ivo got the same looks against UNCW as he did against Portland. The difference was this game he squared up to the basket, had good balance, didnt fade away, had good release and rotation and follow through. Looked nice. You can  usually tell when the ball is going in before it even leaves his hand.

I'll bet that borna will tell you that is true for a very high % of players a very high % of the time.

Our guards get a lot of praise (rightfully so) but this is the stat-line from our 3 bigs yesterday.

40 points, 19-23 from the field, 16 boards

I've seen crazier things happen.

And my understanding is that our BIGMANZDEPARTMENT will produce more Bobcats later this season!

You don't know the half of it. I talked with him at the Lizard once and I think I got invited to Croatia.

f

I told the person I was sitting next to how much more aggressively Ivo was attacking the rim and the most significant change was that he was shooting off the pass in rythym Friday night. NO catching, sizing up, bouncing the ball, backing down, shake and bake,  then throwing up a fade while the rest of the offense stands and watches. In fact, the few he missed were of this variety, the one in the first half stepping through the defender on the shot right before Ivo recovered and  stole the ball from behind was particularly painful to watch. Those 17 footers off the baseline and at the elbow were beauty with the ball not so deep in his hand, catch and step with good balance and elevation. Hope we get more and more of the good as he gets coached up.

You are right MOnroe, those who it beside me often get a "boom" in their ear as the ball leaves the hand
