JG and Brad are VERY close. THis will be an interesting match up. Butler has taken the long hard road to get there while Illinois has had a pretty easy way so I expect fatigue will be a factor. Groce teams defend the 3 so it will be fun to watch how deeply he has his culture ingrained thus far.

Look for this to be a nice benchmark for each....although knocking off NC was pretty  big for the Butdogs after getting slaughtered at X.

If NC and Georgetown both go down tonite I will be a happy camper. Gravy that most of those kids on IU and Butler are local kids we have been around for years. Nice to see the P s in the crowd.

Georgetown is hanging around with IU. Hoyas just took the lead.

Wow. Hoyas take the Hoosiers to OT after being down by 7 with 1:00 to go.

ESPN just ran our NCAA Tourney highlights from last year in the middle of the Illinois-Chaminade game on ESPN2.

Been talking about our run and our team for 5 minutes now!

I think  they will be showing Ohio clips all year till Groce is established and all questions are answered.

Interesting how the fan base at Illinois Loyalty has come around to Grocethink . They drive you a bit crazy lamenting how they hate the number of 3 balls going up and that there is no one down low banging. If they try to keep interjecting their paradigms and refuse to go with the flow it is gonna be a long season as a fan. OTOH there are fans that are fully on board going the other way.

We have better athletes and seniors leading our team. Let's stop this nonsense tonight and remind the country that Butler is a mid-major and why we're a high major. And if we can't do that, then we still have a long way to go. I prefer that we thump them. HAMMER DOWN!

Those are the ones that make me root for Butler even though I
want to see coach do well

Should be a really good game

Seems like most of them are hitting the Groce-ade hard. And a lot of them can't get over their former coach. Feels familiar.

I have no hard feelings towards Coach Groce. I'll be watching Illinois whenever I can and I hope they do well. Very happy to see their early success.

Agreed. I also agree with the sentiment that he looks terrible in orange.  And it's not that it's not green, it's just a bad color on him.  He needs to emphasize the blue in Illinois' colors.

Is this say yes to the dress or a basketball forum?  Let's be glad and happy for Groce for the success he is having over there.  Keep it up John!!

Groce is hosting Holtmann Sunday.

See which team adjusts and travels best. GW coming from Cancun and Illinois turning the clock back from hawaii.

Illinois with some superior talent but Holtmann engineered the GW win in Lexington so I guess anything is possible. Would the Illinois loyalty board have a conniption if that happened.
