DJ Cooper...senior leadership down the stretch.
Jim Christian...quality play out of the time-out in the final 2 minutes.
These guys fought hard and pulled out a tough one against a good team. This is exactly what OHIO needed heading into their first 2 road games.

Now let's work on those free throws....

Bonnies picked 11th in A10 so "tremendous" might be a stretch.

We were fortunate to win. Got beat on the boards again and shot FT's poorly.

A win is a win but it was not impressive IMO.

While the blowouts are a little easier in term of my blood pressure, Ohio needed to be pushed to the end to see how they would respond. It wasn't pretty at times but they passed the test!

Just because they were picked 11th, doesn't mean they're the 11th best team in the A10.

Loved Christian's take in the post game.  He doesn't participate in radio coachspeak.  Called it a terrible defensive effort which I love.

Agreed, they could be higher or lower.

But we sure didn't impress tonight. Giving up 67% on 3's isn't something we can do on a regular basis. And just as Richmond dominated us on the boards so did the Bonnies.

They were getting a lot to drop in, and we had SOOOO many rim out...................

And I gotta say, the calls certainly went their way. They were though driving to the basket more, and I am a firm believer that the advantage goes to the one who takes the initiative - good things happen when you drive to the basket........... (and possibly dish if needed)

Certainly great game by Smith. DJ's 16 points, and 8 assists were also, plus he was on the bench more than JC would have liked due to the fouls (at least one was a bad call). We won't lose many games where he gets 16 points and 8 assists.
