Lets slow down here.  6-2  eight games into a season is nothing to be freaked out about.   This team wasn't going to run the table this season even if Groce stayed.

Look at the last 3 seasons through the first 8 games

2009    (5-3)  Lost to Tennessee in the NCAA Tournament 2nd round after upsetting Georgetown
2010    (5-3)  Lost to Ball State in the Quarters of the MAC Tourney  (1 loss was to Kansas)
2011    (7-1)  Lost to UNC in the Sweet 16.   (1 Loss to ranked Louisville)

A lot of season left and way to early to be nit picking these guys.  They are still finding their way and getting used to each other outside of a practice and drills against themselves.   If you thought we SHOULD beat Memphis I think you were over reaching, we COULD be Memphis if we play our best game, we didn't so we didn't win.

Not to mention the other thing that making the Sweet 16 and almost beating UNC does....it basically tells everyone to watch out. We aren't going to surprise anyone now, its the same team from last year so teams will know what they are going to get.

It's also how we became TOTALLY unglued. Did not look like a squad full of experienced seniors and 3 yr juniors w/a lot of playing time.

It's also how the same weaknesses and execution shortcomings came to the forefront - the same weaknesses and execution shortcomings we have been seeing and discussing for the last 3 years and into the start of this year.

JC was not responsible for the last 3 yrs. Hope he can correct a few or at least start to see some improvement over the next month.

And in my opinion it needs to start w/Ivo and Reg......................

I feel like every time we lose, we get overreacting to the overreacting.  Every one thought going in that this team will be different from the same thing we have had virtually every regular season for about 20 years...about 10 conference wins, losses to most every non-terrible OOC road opponent, and a nationally standing in the 80-120 range.  After these last 2 games, we are right where we always are...That is of course going to be frustrating.

But as frustrated as I and most of the people you think are on the edge are...I don't think anybody is giving up or losing hope.  My response would be put down your megaphone and stop worrying about us, because we aren't jumping.

Overreacting to the overreacting to the overreacting?

So my post would be overreacting to the overreacting to the overreacting to the overreacting?

I've seen crazier things happen.

I would step back from the edge, except I cannot think to do so for I am consumed by these thoughts:

The ball.

It's important.

You can't score without it.

It's difficult for the other side to score when you have it.

One way to obtain ownership possession of the ball is to rebound it.

Rebound the $*&%* basketball.

Defense is also acceptable.

Where's the band?!
