I'm really looking forward to this one.  Good weather in the forecast combined with a night game works out to a good day trip to Athens for hoops.

Toledo presents a team with good talent that they don't seem to be able to translate into team success.  Definitely the most talented MAC team we'll have seen thus far.  I honestly expected them to run away with the MAC West regardless of the post season ban.

MAC play gets a tick tougher starting Saturday in the Convo!  We will learn if our improved play in the last four games will "stick", and we are getting better, or are we beating up on the bottom feeders in league play.  I hope it is a combination of both.   We all realize that as "Coop goes, we go", but the importance of having Walter playing well and bringing his energy to the court can't be overlooked!   Lots of other positives the past 4 games for sure.  This team has to play with great energy on both ends of the floor to continue to improve and reach their potential!
It is a work in progress, and we are not "THERE" by any means !   You either continue to get better every day, or you go in the other direction .   This 'process" is fun to watch !  It is a journey and not a destination!  Go Cats !

Do we get 10,000 in for this game?   Seems achievable.

Western Michigan dismantled Toledo 79-56. I think we should beat Toledo pretty easily.

When I called for tix on Tuesday I was able to lock up four in the first row of the 200 section, bench side.  Doubt I could do that if they were in great demand.

Does anyone know why this game is being played at 6?  I don't remember many evening weekend games before.  Maybe since it's after 5 we're having cocktails beforehand?

Anybody notice D-Mac's 3 pt shooting percentage this year?  100%.  He's 3-3, he hit number 3 last night.  I love when he and Nick G. come in and contribute!

Toledo won at Kent, but they're a poor road team overall. We should win.

And McKinley's effective shooting percentage is 110%.

Huh? 6-7,000 tops. No big promotion or giveaway, no sibs/dads weekend.

Our chances to get close to 10,000 are BGSU (Sibs) and Kent State(perceived as a "good" opponent/Blackout).

We got 6300 in the door on a Friday night against a team no one knows without the help of a promotion earlier in the year. Even if you have fewer students show up than last night, more non-students will come because it is a MAC game on a Saturday against a school a lot of us probably applied to. 8500 at least.

I really wish I could make it down to Athens for this one.  I love the evening weekend games.  Now if only they could light the Convo up green and white . . .

I'm in +1.  PM me if you would like two Youth tickets that I won't be able to use.

I'll tell ya where we'll go. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talkin' bout a little place called... ATHENS.

I think we need McKinney's take on the opponent - I hear UT has tremendous potential.

I will be joining those in attendance on Saturday.  Headed from Virginia early that morning.  Cannot wait for the game to start.  I will also take in the women's game on Sunday.  Looks like they could use all the support they can get!  I love how they are getting walk-ons playing from the other women's sports teams.  Too bad there is not a Bobcatattack.com tailgate, like with football.

Debate, I hear that there is a major traffic snarl on I-77 between Princeton WV and Wytheville VA around the big tunnel.  I would guess it will be cleared but you might want to check if you are coming up that way.

Rian Pearson is definitely one of the top three talents in the MAC.  Juice Brown is a good PG.  I think they ran into a buzzsaw at WMU.  Toledo can definitely cause trouble for any MAC team.  They beat Kent recently.  And last season, they rallied from an early 15-0 deficit to beat Ohio our our ill-fated "Toledo-EMU Swing".

(El Gato, I don't have much on this.  I do a better job on this when it's a non Div. I opponent or when it's a Div. I team with an RPI worse than 320. )

Thanks!  Because we live in northern Virginia, we come a different route and avoid 77 completely.  We have the beautiful drive across the I-68, a little I-79,  and Rt 50 into Athens.  One must always carefully monitor speed while going through Ritchie County on 50.

Yeah...I really like your route.  And now with the bypass around Parkersburg, it cuts about  10 mins off the trip at least.

I'm just hoping that I can actually attend, and that Ohio can at least keep it close and maybe pull out a victory.

Can somebody hit a pull up jumper for me?.....

Nice day weather forecast. Time to recover from Friday evening activities (prolly not all-nighter in Alden). Game ends at perfect time to start off Saturday evening activities. Time for me to drive down and eat at Miller's before the game. I say 8,500.

I appreciate the effort.  Our confidence was energizing our imagination and I felt we needed your voice.  Thank you for the cold bucket of analysis.
