This one gives me pause. Miami is a team capable of getting hot and hitting a lot of shots, particularly at home. I know the lost to NIU, but they're just as capable of beating us as they are of losing to NIU. A win of any kind would make me happy.

Is it safe to assume that a road game, against nearly any opponent, is not a gimme for this squad?  I'm assuming we win, but we won't make it easy on ourselves.

Eh. BG and Buffalo are games we really should win. Can probably put Central and Ball State in that category, too. Kent has been vulnerable at home... the teams we play on the road the rest of the way are inferior to the teams we played on the road in non-conference play, Akron excepted.

With 4 out of the next 5 on the road it appears that is is an all important stretch of games.
So far this team has not shown us much to give us confidence that even though these teams are weak we can beat them on their court. Seeing is believing.

So the win at Western Michigan doesn't give a little confidence?  I believe that the perceived road woes are partially a result of the quality of the opponent faced on the road.  Oklahoma, UMass, Memphis, and Robert Morris are much better basketball teams than Ball State, Miami, CMU, Buffalo, and BG. Other than Akron and Kent, those are the road games that are left.  There isn't confidence that OUr guys can go to Miami, Ball State, or CMU and play well?

Looks like it. They have a link up for it. They didn't when I originally posted the thread.

These Wednesday night Miami games are the dumbest thing the MAC is doing right now.

I don't care how much Mimai sucks right now -- because it is a constant . These are the flagships, and they've been relegated to an untelevised weeknight every cotton picking year.

To an extent, I agree with you.  However, it's in Oxford, which means regardless of it being on Wednesday or Saturday, no more than 1,500 fans will show up anyway.

We get Miami and Kent on Saturdays in the Convo.  Other than relegating Akron to a Wednesday night when they visit Athens, the MAC office did pretty well.  Akron on a Saturday is a guaranteed 11,000+ crowd.  They dropped the ball there . . .

If Akron was played here on a Saturday with both teams playing at a minimum 1 loss in conference play, with a student promotion and other stuff. We could possibly get a sell out if not close.

I'll tell ya where we'll go. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talkin' bout a little place called... ATHENS.

One post on their message board about the game and that was Sunday. Will be interesting to see if the black tarps are still multiplying at Millett.

Anyone have a recommendation for a restaurant in Oxford?

Usually I'm getting into the town just before tip or kick-off from work, but I actually have plenty of time beforehand Wednesday.

I highly recommend Quarter on Church? St.  It is a Gastropub with great food and drink.

Growing up there I've eaten at most places and most of them are alright but I think Quarter is the way to go tho.

As someone else has said, the game is on Time Warner 1311HD or 311 in our area, Southern Ohio.  It says live on the schedule but shows game time at 8PM.  Is there a change or are they doing a tape delay?

Here's the brilliant preview in the Hamilton Journal News.  DJ not even mentioned other than as a starter.

Will this be the first time an opposing player has played against us for different teams? Will Felder had an awesome game against us when we hosted St. Francis two years ago.

For those who have Time Warner there was a Facebook post about how the game will be televised on channel 311/1311 I believe.
