Don't know if anyone will know, but...

While watching the end of the Wisconsin Michigan game, they brought up an interesting situation.  Tim Hardaway Jr. was called for a foul with 3 seconds left in overtime.  The scoreboard and announcers score sheets had him with 5.  They didn't stop play and he stayed in the game.  Had he been involved in a play to tie the game, would there have been anything that could have been done about it after the fact? Protest maybe?  The box score only shows him with 4, so the monitors and scoreboard must have been wrong so this particular situation is moot, but watching it live I had no idea what if anything could be done.
