Just for JSF, I wanted to post the +/- numbers to date (compliments of statsheet.com) for your viewing pleasure.  It just shows the total point differential of your team when you are on the court.  It is a flawed stat, especially the smaller the sample size, but I still feel that over time a good player will make his team outscore the opponent when he is on the court.

Cooper  +187 (703 mins)
Offutt  +144 (687 mins)
Kellogg  +134 (595 mins)
Baltic  +128 (622 mins)
Keely  +101 (487 mins)
Smith  +56 (382 mins)
Hall  +40 (267 mins)
Johnson  +23 (297 mins)
McKinley  -1 (22 mins)
Goff  -1 (18 mins)
Green  -9 (62 mins)
Wilkins  -15 (224 mins)
Taylor  -17 (234 mins)

It doesn't tell us a whole lot, except maybe a little positive for Nick & Reggie and slightly damning to Ivo, Travis & Stevie.

Why would it be damning to Ivo? His +/- per minute  is virtually the same as Walt and Reggie's.

The ones that surprise me are Ricardo and Jon Smith.  Those are two guys we consider to be very good defensive players, yet don't contribute as much offensively.  Still, that being said, I'm surprised at those numbers in particular.  Stevie's number doesn't shock me simply because he has had a lot of those minutes late in games in "garbage time."

I meant to say Rico, not Ivo.  Here are the numbers per 40 minutes:

Cooper  +10.7
Kellogg  +9.0
Offutt  +8.4
Keely  +8.3
Baltic  +8.2
Hall  +6.0
Smith  +5.9
Johnson  +3.1
Wilkins  -2.7
Taylor  -2.9

There is a clear top 5.  I'm not saying this is my basis for saying this, but I think both Ivo and Reggie should be starting down the stretch.  That #*&@ will their all day long.  I like TJ as the 6th man and situational player.  I think putting it in the hands of our 4 seniors and most experienced junior is the thing to do at this point.  I think all 5 should be getting near 25 mins minimum when there aren't any unique foul/injury/matchup situations.  We aren't far from this right now, but the starting lineup can be a mental/symbolic thing.

I'm not surprised by Stevie's numbers. He seems to be very sloppy with the ball when he is in. While stats don't tell the entire story, just look at his career numbers: 72 assists, 50 turnovers. I'm always a bit nervous when he's in, as he seems much less comfortable with pressure from the defense.

I would agree.  Ivo catches a lot of guff around here, much of it deserved, but even with his faults he's still a really good player.  His passing has greatly improved over time and IMO he's our best rebounder.  And even though he refuses to take it into the paint he is still hitting better than 50% which is impressive.

If Ivo gets more "paint" on his shoes like tonight I especially agree

True, but I also have to think his +/- is a bit skewed due to him picking up a decent amount of minutes late in blowouts. We've let off the gas, but our opponents keep shooting. Same with Wilkins and Green.
