I hate 'em. Can't wait for the game. The MAC absolutely blows for not scheduling this as a Saturday marquee game. I hope Zeke leaves with a box of used tissues and Abreu gets abused by DJ. It's on. Long live the Cats!

I'm beyond psyched.

Don't look past EMU & Belmont though.

What a day at the Convo.....Wow!

EMU is the only MAC team we didn't get a W against last year, Belmont would be a high profile road win on ESPN2, no way we look ahead. BUT..I can't wait for 2/27.

Not only should we not look past EMU, but on the back side of that Arkon game will be a tough matchup going up to BGS-Who.  The next two weeks are absolutely HUGE with 4 tough games in a row.  It's gonna be all kinds of fun!

A win at Belmont (#28) would be a huge RPI booster on the road for Ohio. Every game at this point counts for positioning with the NCAAs.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

Admittedly, I care very little about the Belmont game.

Definitely not as important as other MAC games, but this is the time of year where I say that every game is huge.

Belmont only matters in the scheme of at-large/NIT conversations.  Since at-large is highly unlikely with or without a win in that game, and NIT isn't really the goal, I agree it's not huge in the big picture.

I do think the game will matter should (when) the Bobcats win the MAC tourney and need the higher RPI for seeding purposes.

Akron's seniors currently have 90 wins, Ohio has 89. Every game counts.

Zero wins in the Dance.

EMU worries me big time.  We have the talent to be able to breeze past (almost) anyone in the conference, but we are not consistent enough to even think about it.  They have the perfect system to beat us with.

Belmont is a game that would be great to have, but the loss to Winthrop and few other good wins to boast about means we'd still be on the outside looking in.  I'd like to see us win it for the sake of momentum (and even more buzz against Akron) but in the grand scheme of things, it isn't as big as EMU.

I'll be coming down for Akron.  GO OHIO!
