Where Do You Start?

*Defensive miscommunications--that was a clinic placed on us
*Walt disappearing and a non-factor
*DJ uncharacteristically didn't capitalize on the big stage of an ESPN2 type game
*Travis Wilkins as Bobcat695 so perfectly stated "is slow, poor on defensive and is a sharp-shooter who can't shoot" but boy did JC decide to ride him a bunch tonight for some head-scratching reason??

Honestly, never expected that outcome. A loss maybe. But a humiliation? Didn't think that was in the cards.

Only positive is this hopefully is the last wake-up call as it really was just an exhibition heading into the home stretch. Been a while since we lost and if we thought we had arrived, this should reeastablish a sense of urgency. This is the big-time stage we have come to expect our guys to like and if they didn't know, they now know what will happen should they turn in such a performance in Cleveland.

It'll be interesting to see how the marketing folks can spin tonight as a positive on "Attack U" this week.

Completely agree RS! Groce just seemed to have that certain "something" when it came to motivating and pushing his players to the limit. His speech caught prior to the UNC game "It only matters what's inside these walls" was amazing and still gives me goosebumps. I think JC is a solid coach and who knows, perhaps this team goes to the CBI and wins a few games and then makes the NCAA Tourney next year. He has a great track record. But as of now, with this collection of talent, he's not motivating them and that's on him.
