Tweets being exchanged between Keely and some Akron fans talking about Walsh, who had earlier tweeted making fun of Ohio. Here is an Akron story on the exchange. Doesn't mention Walsh's tweets and the delusional Akron fan tweets. Their fan base is so arrogant. Not to mention the "journalistic" website calls for fans to tweet at Reggie and calls Ohio fans hill-people.

This is the same site that said DJ was transferring. Don't give it the hits.

I'm wondering why our coaching staff lets this continue?  I know Big Reg isn't directing anymore tweets to Walsh, but he is still acknowledging all the Akron trolls on Twitter. I'm not saying ban twitter like Groce did, but we don't seem to have the professionalism and strict focus that we had this time last year.  I'm no psychologist, but it might be important to limit distractions leading up to a very important game.

Groce banned Twitter?  When?  I followed Coop, Walt, Reg, and Stevie all season last year.

This story keeps getting stretched more and more. He took their phones the day before games or something like that. How that would have prevented a Keely-Walsh Twitter feud of any kind at another time of the week is beyond me.

Not my point.  There was no Keely-Walsh Twitter feud last year or any years before.  Especially not days before a game like this.  I'm not saying they should be banned from Twitter.  I just think our staff should monitor this stuff a little more closely and keep the mindsets on ourselves and not the Justin Timberlakes up north.  This will likely have no effect on the game, but you have to wonder how mentally prepared we are for Wednesday.

This stuff is bush league compared to The Optimist-JGuyMAC twitter feud.

I've seen crazier things happen.

It has been stretched.  It was only after Michigan game to focus on South Florida.

Wouldn't you agree though that if Brian Walsh is on Keely's mind right after the Belmont game, he is getting mentally prepared to shut Akron up? The trash-talking is pretty mild.

Good point.  It is not much of a feud anymore between him and Walsh.  It is more him vs the entire city of Akron.  Walsh has kept quiet.  Gotta "walk the walk" on Wed.
