We are overated by media    Posted: 2/24/2013 1:12:15 AM  Poor preparation.  I counted ONE offensive rebound in the first half.  Our row of fans at the game got pretty excited late in the first half when there finally was an offensive rebound and put-back. (by then I think everybody could tell what the outcome of this game was going to be) Very little organization to the offense.  Reminded me of the early Tim O'Shea offensive (non-) concept.  The number of turnovers in the first half was totally not acceptable. Defense?  There wasn't much to talk about because there wasn't much played by the Bobcats.  How could the team that knocked of Michigan the last time they were in town go so far backwards. There was a chance to cut the deficit to single digits with about 15 minutes left in the game (?) but there didn't seem to be a sense of urgency enough to not turn the ball over a couple of more times and the blowout was back on. Sad. It was good sitting next to you and meeting you tonight! I remember having that glimmer of hope in the second half - I think Stevie hit a 3 to make it a 10 or 11 point game and then we had a possession to cut it to single digits. Just couldn't get over the hump. I think that is when Belmont hit two three's in a row and it went to the under 12 media timeout. Hope we can win the MAC Championship, get a seed in the bracket to play in Nashville again and see you again! We are overated by media    Posted: 2/25/2013 10:30:48 AM  We ran into a team that does what we handle the worst. They played physical defense off the ball and our players backed down. That's what Robert Morris does, that's what Akron did earlier this year.  I had only seen Belmont twice this year (their two most recent losses) and they weren't nearly as physical or aggressive in those two contests.     I also think that Nick Kellogg not being Nick Kellogg is absolutely killing us.  Over the last 8 games he is 8-38 (21%) from three.  Most of these are good open looks.  Travis Wilkins has a nice shot but it just takes him too long to get it off and he's been off over the last 8 games as well (3-11 27%).  When our shooters aren't hitting it allows teams to clog the lane and keep D.J. from doing what he does best.
