This entire twitter feud that is going on makes me sick.  I am going to simply ignore that tweet because there is a chance that is DJ, but there is also a very good chance that the Akron fan manufactured it.  While I don't agree with Reggie's tweets or approach, I honestly feel that he and the rest of the team have handled everything with far more class than these Akron fans.  I am surprised with some of the comments that have been made and directed at our players that they haven't continued to escalate it.  Akron's players are silent and I am impressed with that.  Our players after some of the initial stuff have been good.  However, the Akron fans keep it going and then some of our fans are delusional enough to think they can talk sense into these people and add fuel to the fire. 

Please, to all OU fans, just don't waste your time being a part of it. You only make it worse!

To clarify...WHile I have seen more inappropriate comments from Akron fans, I still feel that the OU fans have shown the same lack of class by contributing to this and dragging it on.  Those fans know who they are, some are active on this board and they need to knock it off.

I have a hard time believing coop would tweet this. Its very easy to manufacture something like that and screw someone over. Thats why twitter is bad for athletes. In my opinion this has to be fake. I'll be extremely disappointed if it isn't.

Some kid from Akron claiming it was a direct message from Cooper. I don't buy it, very easy to fake.

I actually have a new found respect for the current O Zone through all this mess. All the Akron fans do is resort to homophobic slurs on Twitter. I've yet to see that from any Ohio fans.

Fake--unless DJ can "tweet" and be interviewed by Russ on the coaches show at the same time( he is a magician with the ball after all )--certainly Russ or Coach C would have noticed!--just fake Akron crap

 that's what I found to be interesting. Odd timing considering he was being interviewed on the Coache's show. I highly doubt DJ would have been tweeting anything while on the show. I mean, think about it.

someone on Akron's message board tried to start a thread about it and it was immediately removed.  If they're not even going to get into on their own board then that's a pretty good indicator that nobody beyond the hack that runs their fan blog is buying into it.

DJ dm is undoubtably fake, IMO.

I think as cheap as Twitter trash talk can be, that it's still loads of fun. Seeing some back and forths earlier today got me even more psyched for Wednesday.

I'm not sure that I love what Keely did. I prefer more subtle trash talking for our guys.

I imagine it's a bunch of dudes in a suite just messing around on their phones for 2 hours.  Some light conversation about the game.  Maybe just a chance for some elbow rubbing with guys like Jeremy Guy for those looking to work in that field.  I wonder how many applicants there really are.

Actually, from what I've been told by someone in my office, it was a great event last year, especially if you are looking to network with other communications professionals or people who are really into social media. I fall into both categories, which is why I filled out the application this year. Now, don't get me wrong, I'd much rather be in there during a game involving two other schools because I'm way into the action when Ohio is playing to be socializing much, but during a Kent-Akron game or Buffalo-Western, etc.? Sure, why not.
