Anyone heading up there for this one? I'm thinking about it. I've never been to BG before and I know next to nothing about the city or NW Ohio in general. any recommendations for post-game food/drinks?

This game might be the most telling about this group this season.  It was easy to get up for the Akron game...how about showing up after what happened last night?  Crawford and Calhoun are pretty dynamic together and I'm sure they will have a chip on their shoulder after what went down here with some "extracurriculars."

The land in Bowling Green is so flat that you can lay down with one side of your head to the ground and see all of the campus. And the venereal diseases grow like wild flowers...or so they say.

There's a good place "downtown" that we went to during last year's game. Had a ton of choices on tap and standard bar grub.  I believe it was called City Tap.

I ate at a place there once called Jed's.  Think it may be a chain in the BG/Toledo area.

They were known for their chicken balls-basically boneless wings.  Had some solid sauces.

The only thing I like about Fricker's was the proximity to The Stroh.  Otherwise, I've not been overly impressed.

{As a side note, it was the location of me drowning my sorrows in what became the last Brian Knorr coached football game that I ever watched. It was the infamous 72-21 (or 28) drubbing around 2002-2003.}

Could not agree more with this.  It's the time of the year that this game tells, espec after last year's egg at BG.  Do we continue the generally solid play that we exhibited against 'kron yesterday and, so, handle BG relatively easily.  Or do we struggle, which would indicate future prospects are not the brightest for the rest of this season.

I bought my tickets Tuesday by calling the BG Ticket Office.  Sounds like there will be a lot of Ohio fans going.  Visitors sections (116) only had singles and a few doubles left.  117 was pretty picked over too.  Ended up getting seats in the seats on the baseline. There were more options by calling than going through ticket master.

But never better than a Winking Lizard experience, IMO.

This is excellent to hear.  I'd really like to be going, but can't do it this year.

I doubt it, I see this as one of those games where he get high single digits or low double digits but gets a lot of assists.

I called the BG ticket office yesterday morning and managed to get a pair in section 116, but they are a good 15 rows up. It was funny because as he was securing my tickets someone else had just bought them online. Luckily he was able to find me another pair in our section. Looks like I'm not the only Bobcat with a last minute decision to head up to BG.

Their students are on break. It could be a pretty sleepy atmosphere

To be fair, it'd be a sleepy atmospher either way.  Total apathy right now in BG.

I expect us to bounce back with a solid win.

After what happened at the end of the last meeting, the refs should pull the coaches aside and tell them that some suits will be tossed at the first sign of chippiness.  The problems were with the coaching staffs, not the players.

Keely came up big in the first meeting, so I expect them to focus on him, which means TJ, Ivo and Smith should have some opportunities.

Brian Knorr going head-to-head with Urban Meyer.  Hard to believe we held BG under 100 that game...

That was brutal.  We left at halftime when it was 37-14.  My most vivid memory was when Dontrell ignored a wide open Joe Moehler about 20 yards down the sideline and threw into triple coverage over the middle instead.  How we won four games that year -- and put up 50+ points vs EMU and Kent after being shut out by Northeastern -- is beyond me.

I don't really know the story behind it...But Roosters, Frickers, and Jeds are all intertwined in some way and have a lot of similiarities.  Each location has a little uniqueness to it to, and I can't really figure out a rhyme or reason for it (for example, BG Jeds is a lot different than Toledo Jeds).

I think it has something to do with brothers and/or business partner relationships going badly.

Good point. This game had red flags, win or lose Wednesday. If we beat Akron, we have to come down from the high. If we lose to Akron, we have to get up from the low. We need to wrap up the No. 2 seed but we need a win for mental health reasons as much as anything.

I was in BG for 2003 Boys' State and ate there, was pretty happy with it, but it did give me bad gas.
If it's any consolation, we went to their dump of an arena after that to listen to the governor (Taft) speak, and he was right behind me as we entered the arena at the height of said gas. Poor guy didn't even see it coming.

I'll be at this game...I'm pretty excited to see it.  Likely the last time I'll watch this senior class play in-person.

Hoping for a nice recovery after these last 2 games.  Go Cats

1. What the heck was Ed Hightower doing at a MAC basketball game?

2. Speaking as a native son to answer Tyler's inquiry into Northwest Ohio: Northwest Ohio is essentially Indiana, if Indiana sucked at basketball.
