Our friend Bo Borowski (Called the double tech on DJ and Harney Wednesday) decided he wanted to get into the radio biz.  After hearing the St Louis announcer call one of his calls cheap, he decides to confront him.  I cant believe thats worse than what the OZone said Wednesday.  (Audio on the USA Today link below)

Boroski is the biggest loser in basketball. I've been saying it for years. This guy should not be allowed near a MAC basketball game.

I did a quick Twitter search for Boroski after he handed out the double techs on Wednesday night. It appears there are fans in a whole lot of other conferences who don't want him either.

Which goes to a bigger point: When you have an official in a mid-major conference who becomes that well known, odds are it isn't for good reasons. I cannot understand how or why the Mid-American Conference would continue to trust him with important games, especially after an incident like this. But mark my words, he'll be working in Cleveland on March 16.

He does higher level games than the MAC. He did the Michigan State/Ohio State game last Sunday, too. One of the perks of my seats is that I get to personally interact with the officials. After the double T, I jokingly told him that he cannot lead the nation in technicals called if he didn't call them two at a time. He undoubtably has a large ego, but there are a lot of guys that do games in the Convo that are worse than him. He just does so many games that he is familiar to us. Same goes for Sanzere.

He's also made the NCAA Tourney 5 straight years. Typically, he is one and done. I about fell out of my chair when I saw him on the floor in Dayton a couple of years ago for the play-in game.

When I first saw that Boroski was one of the refs doing the Akron game I told my nephew that OUr team was in trouble. Don't know if Boroski doesn't like OHIO, coming to Athens, the Ozone or what but he always seems to call games here that favor the visiting team. Was on zipnation and read a post on how Akron was in trouble cause Bo was one of the refs but I think the next poster had it right. He said not as much trouble as OHIOs in cause Bo always calls it against teams who have large rowdy crowds. With an ego as large as Boroskis I wonder if his motto is I'm A Game Changer or We Decide Who Wins?

Bo was a pretty good HS ref. I am not sure what the numbers say over the years, you can use the link and look at the numbers and various other indicators but he has morphed into the same sphere as TV ted and Hightower who has been the subject his own threads on ohter boards

BO unlike Ted and Ed has just kind of become an immovable object and somewhat of a bully as evidenced by this radio incedent.. There are several incedents which he is part of like the Butler  Xavier game with a hinky ending to which I believe they got right, but involved BO nonetheless.

He is here to stay so we might as well get used to it. I suppose we need to embrace that but I turly believe he tends to call games where there are Indiana kids involved more harshly to avoid any signs of impropriety. I remembered one visit to the Convo in 08 where I had talked to him extensively at an AAU tourney a few months between games yet he told me he could not be seen talking to me at OHIO and we would catch up later. Taking professionalism a little too far in my book.

He only works MAC and BigTenfinity but has done well in securing early NCAA rounds

Here are the stats for MAC refs

http://statsheet.com/mcb/conferences/mac/referees?season=2012-2013

He has only called 5 MAC games this year. 3 of them OHIO games. He calls the 2nd most fouls per game for MAC refs. And he call 6.3 more fouls in MAC game then his other games.
