Nothing too surprising so far. Zips looking rusty on offense. Flashes relying on holt and Evans. Bo Borowski refffing a game with a double technical called in the first 11 minutes. Kent up 6 8:45 left first half

Turnovers all around for the Zips. If anybody questioned how big losing Abreu would be, I think that's been laid to rest.

26-15. It's not looking good at all for the Zips. 31 percent shooting and 12 percent behind the arc.

I agree. But I think with a full week to prepare as the starter, Bentancourt can be a competent PG. kinda like Trent Dilfer was a competent QB for the Ravens.

Bettencourt just walked away from Dambrot. Season implosion. One week of practice won't help Bettencourt get ready for next week...he's pissing his pants out there.

I think betencourt will find some confidence . never underestimate the ability of sendy to screw up a sure thing

So just so were clear, Kent win and Ohio win tmw=Split regular season title with Akron as the 1 seed right? We would still be MAC regular season champs correct?

Ohio would be Co-Champs but Akron would get 1 seed. Here is another question. If Ohio shares the regular season title would it clinch an NIT birth as a conference regular season champion?

Zips are looking pretty bad. At this point I would have to say Kent becomes the favorite on the Akron side of bracket.

Unfortunately for us, the Zips once again have their opponent right where they want them. Down only 15 at the half. (they were down 20 to Buffalo and 18 to the Bobcats during the 1st half). They are still a dangerous 2nd half team. Pulling for the Flashes of course so OHIO can share the regular season championship with a win over Fiami tomorrow, but anxiously waiting the 2nd half!

Looking at their students I have to think they are so fortunate this is not a road game. Kent's offense is f so fluid Tontie. Initiating out top and keeping it high to pull Zeke away from the key. Good plan with the ball going side to side and cuts across the key. Great game planning by someone on that staff

No. Akron, as the #1 seed, would be the only team to clinch the NIT bid. But a championship means another flag hanging from the Convo rafters.

I think I had heard that AKron would get the NIT auto bid in that scenario

THIS. Flags fly forever (unless you go to Michigan). Nobody will know or care in 25 years that it was a split championship, all they will see is that we won the MAC that year. We are closing in on Miami for all time MAC titles and I dont see them winning anytime soon. (edit:This would put us at 11 regular season titles breaking a tie at 10 with BGSU, Miami has 20!)

I love watching Zeke after he gets called for a foul. He's never actually committed one just ask him.

Akron making a bit of a run.

On a side note, how could Zeke even pretend to act like that wasn't a foul?

2 really bad foul calls in a row' . this press would actually be to Kent's favor. To much selfishness

Evans has 4 fouls and I'd say 3 (the two charges and the double T) were very bad calls
