I gather OSU didn't provide many tickets to OU?  Just received an e-mail that I wasn't able to secure tickets through OU ticket office.

Anyway, for others who missed out, I'm just sharing that it looks like OSU puts tickets on sale to general public next Wednesday, Oct 16th.  There is a "Social Media" presale beginning Tuesday, Oct 15th.

I will be searching FB, Twitter, etc. for presale passwords, but if anyone else has ones to share, hopefully we can do so on here?

I got rejected too.  I wish there was a way to see how you ranked with Bobcat Club priority points.  That said, this is the first time I havent been able to get tickets to an OU event, so I am guessing they didnt have many tickets.  Stubhub did not have much out there yet

Plan B might be a trip to BG instead

I'm pretty sure Ohio's allotment was real small.  I've not had any problems before on getting tickets through ticket office either.

I really don't expect any trouble getting tickets through OSU on Tuesday or Wednesday.  I think the only pre-Big Tweleven season game they soldout last year was Kansas.  The other games probably averaged 3,000-4,000 empty seats.

Really, I kinda think it's better not going through OU Ticket Office for OSU Tickets.  OSU likes sticking opposing fans in some of the worse seats in the arena.  Should be able to get better seats through OSU TM.

Well I got lucky I guess - I received notice I got them. I am at Letterwinner level if that is any indication of the size of the allocation. I only asked for 2 seats - not sure how larger requests shook out vs smaller?

I did before - and still do now - figure that buying tics from O$U will get you better seats. Only likely plus for the Bobcat Club allocations is at least I know I won't be surrounded by Walmart O$U gear............

I got shut out too. Does anyone know what section the Ohio seats are in? That way I can try to buy tickets near that through other means. The Schott is so big Im not worried about a sellout but would prefer to sit with OUr fans

I was blocked too.

I understand that they would want priority to go to people who donate to the program, but it sucks that we were given so few tickets that this had to happen.

"Invade" - Like O$U does at Northwestern. I sure gotta think there are close to as many central Ohio OHIO alums as there are Chicagoland O$U alums. Make the arena Green and reddish - early Christmas...............

This list really doesn't tell you much at all about where you stand.  Points are cumulative and based on all kinds of things in addition to one year's giving - things like season ticket holder, number of years you've been a season ticket holder, giving and the number of years you've given, etc.  This link only shows how much people gave in a given year.

At the game Saturday I spoke with someone associated with the ticket office who said they were "very likely securing a block of tickets" - "up to 250" - asked if I knew anyone who was looking for them, and/or if I wanted to get more. He seems to have an inside track/contacts at O$U per "Group Purchases" (sounded legit). I told him to please contact me when he has the info/details - sounded like he will be emailing and calling me in the next day or two. Apparently there will be a "Group Code" etc. He said the tickets in this block will likely be a little better location than the block that was originally allocated to OHIO (which was a Very small allotment). I have no idea who this "announcement" and details will all go out to - maybe others in Bobcat Club will also see the announcement and/or get contacted.

I could be interested in getting more tics, and/or securing some of these if they are indeed better seat location, along with a group of OHIO fans together in a section/block.

Once I get details I will let others on here know what I might be able to do to help them get tics. Keep fingers crossed.

Your priority points is not necessarily reflective of the Ohio Bobcat Club standing, because those who give unrestricted gifts are not credited to the Ohio Bobcat Club but still amass points.

I think he meant restricted.  For example, a gift to your favorite sport gets you points but not benefits (seat consideration).  I also heard this one today - if you give $1000 to your favorite sport, you aren't technically considered a Bobcat Club member.  You'd have to give a minimum of $75 more to the obc to be considered a member.

That is...idiotic. So you're saying that if I give $100,000 to basketball, that I have to donate $75 to be considered a member? Makes no sense and seems very short-sighted, if true.

Well, this scenario would involve two separate "fails". One on the part of the contributor for not becoming better informed, another on the part of the OBC for not completely informing the contributor.

The fail would seem (to me) to be the policy itself. If I'm the OBC, I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth. If someone wants to give $500,000 to softball...it's their prerogative. To in turn not have a dime of that count towards Bobcat Club membership and benefits is completely inexcusable.

The PASSWORD is "PRIDE".  Presale starts at 10am.  Link to ticketmaster site is above. (I just copied the Pic below, I doubt if you click on it anything will happen.)

Mostly just top 6 row seats available...nothing lower level.  We grabbed section 306 center court.

check the OBC brochure, clearly outlines the difference between restricted and unrestricted gifts.

How is the contributor not better informed, if a person wants to give to a certain sport, that is automatically a restricted gift and does not get you OBC membership, nor does it boost your OBC contribution.  This is clearly outlined in the literature.  Talking to two olympic sports coaches while in town for homecoming and they indicated that OBC penalities for restricted contributions is hurting how they operate.

To further extend my remarks - maybe the whole system is a "fail". They can't even keep it straight what I gave and when..............and what "year" that applies to.............I will pass on any further comments about the OBC what - gets you - what.
