Nice note from the Cleveland Plain Dealer reporter who covered the game.  It brings to mind the great game we played at St John's 30 years ago.  Tough, close battle throughout.  The real story, if you read the papers for weeks after, was our fans.  A number of letters to the sports editor back then had the same theme:  How could 2000 Bobcat fans out cheer 9000 Buckeye fans?

" It was a fun game to cover early in the season because of the pageantry in the arena, with mixtures of relationships and histories between both benches everywhere. However, I was pretty surprised when there were “DEFENSE” chants from Ohio fans ruling the Value City Arena atmosphere when the Bobcats didn’t have the ball late in the game. You’d think Ohio State would rule its own arena, especially late in the game when Ohio got within striking distance."
