5-0 but currently getting beat pretty bad @Indiana. They also beat Valpo and Mercer at home so I guess Saturday's game is for this little series' championship!

We looked good against Mercer tonight. Jon Smith has really progressed into a good player on both ends for us. One thing we did tonight that we have struggled with this season is make free throws. If we can stay out of foul trouble and get to the line (and make) Saturday I like our chances.

It looks like their old message board got shut down. After digging around I found this board...

I think the guards defended better tonight so the bigs didn't have to cover as much and stayed out of foul trouble.

This is an interesting post over there. Hopefully this means big games again for N'Dour and JS

The more I think about the game tonight and most of the games thus far we have gotten virtually nothing going in the paint. Our great guard play / small forward play has overshadowed what we really don't have...an inside game. Next year..same thing..we have no scholarships.... Giddy has not shown any improvement from last year and Moore and Howard are only capable of so much which so far does not appear to be much. We don't help ourselves and play small with only one of the bigger guys in the game at a time. Rarely do we have two players on the floor 6'6" or bigger..we are going to continue to lose games vs bigger, physical teams because we simply are outmatched and undersized compared to the opposition. We cannot go inside and score or draw fouls, we cannot hold our own on the boards and we can't rely on the perimeter to win the big games.

The handful of times we made it to post season play over the last 30 years we had one or more big men inside who could hold their own...Sasha Hupmann, Kwame James, Brian Hill/Dan Godfried, even Emir Turam/Richie Johnson. I guess I am showing my age here guys. Last year Giddy stepped up and gave us some hope. Right now I am pretty unimpressed with his play inside and his silly over the back and reach in fouls. He has to raise his play like some of the other guys have (Wing and Balentine) or we are not going to reach the full potential of this team.

It is kinda funny they mention big men winning big games and postseason games because that is the exact opposite thing we have been hearing on this board since JC came in.

I agree on this matchup. If their bugs are weak than NDour and Smith (most improved) should have big games. For as good as they are I still want to see us grab more boards.

Grabbed a ton last night!  Nice games by Maurice and Jon.  You gotta like what you're seeing from the seniors, along with Maurice and Stevie this year thus far.

THis Aces team got pounded last night si I look for Coach SImmons to get up in them and have them ready. DJ Ballentine is a fresh young face from Kokomo IN . Nice player. Brown...albeit short on ball skills is one of the fastest guards I can remember playing the game....like JEff Teague quick. if he could shoot he would be pretty good.

I think this is gonna be a fun game and a good match up. MVC teams in the ROundhouse.....gotta love it.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Winter comes and asks how you spent your summer.....

The game loves and rewards those who love and reward the game

Balentine had a rough night against Indiana but he has been unreal most of the year. His 14 points was the first time this year he has scored fewer than 29.  He's going to be a handful.  From what I saw he gets his shot off quickly and can beat you in many ways. He's gotten to the line 60 times in 6 games.   The Aces love to push the basketball and they've scored 84 or more points in every game except against the Hoosiers. They are guard heavy, starting 4.  They have one big guy (6'10') but he looked like a cypher against Indiana. As borna said this should be a fun one to watch.

Edit: Here's a quick article on Balentine.
