Pretty impressed with Toledo so far. Yes they have only played 9 games but still. 5 players averaging over 10ppg. We all know about Pearson and Brown but they have more support now with OSU Transfer Weatherspoon and Loyola MD Transfer Drummond. I guess we'll find out more about them when they play @Kansas and once we get into MAC play.

They haven't played anyone to this point. Their best wins are beating Detroit twice, home and away, the only top-100 RPI team on the schedule. They won at Boston College, but the Eagles are 3-7. Today's home win against Sam Houston State is probably their next-best win. Still, they are 9-0 and that includes three road wins and two neutral-site games. They've been a pretty high-scoring team by shooting 52 percent and turning it over less than 10 times per game but opponents are shooting 47 percent against them. The game at Kansas on Dec. 30 is the only big challenge on the non-conference schedule.

FWIW... RPIForecast is currently projecting Toledo to finish at 61 in the RPI and Ohio 62. (Akron would be next at 75).

Interesting that Balls has a 10% chance of beating us while they are sitting at a 28% change of beating toledo.

Surprised to see the west still infinitely weak.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

How/why did they play Detroit twice? Tournament of some sorts?

The 28% is BSU's home game with Toledo.  They're at 11% for the game at UT.  The site uses Sagarin's predictors to calculate the percentages.

Yup, they played in the 2K Sports classic in Detroit.  I believe they were scheduled to play in Toledo already as an ongoing contract..

Yes that's low but it still should be a lot better by the end of the year than if we had received CMU or NIU or even Ball State twice instead.

A lot better? I'd say marginally.

I'd say even if WMU finishes at 200, that could still be 75ish spots better than CMU or NIU.

They won another road game last night. I'm rather impressed , no matter who they're playing. We often have trouble on the road regardless of who we'll playing. To be honest, I would take their record with their schedule over ours right now.
