5 points, 7 rebounds... and 8 blocks. Within shouting distance of a rare triple-double. His Charles Smith job on Treadwell is my favorite sequence of the year.

Crucial player who doesn't get enough credit.

I'm consistently impressed with his performances. He's able to jump so quickly.

What a day at the Convo.....Wow!

So, OT #2, Jon Smith has been our jump man all year, why did we suddenly switch to NDour in that instance?

He wasn't in the game for the first 49 seconds of the second OT.

Sitting courtside for that block sequence was incredible. Tree had absolutely no answer on that trip down the floor.

I saw him leave the huddle before the tip.  I'm guessing potty break.

Defensive Player of the Year...I will stand for nothing less.  Not just the blocks...He does a great job of sealing off that area while generally staying out of foul trouble.

I think he also had 4 fouls at the time. The staff may have wanted to wait a minute or two because he was playing such intense defense on Tree.

I agree he has been great this year. Sometimes I can't believe he is only 6'7" and sometimes giving up 100 lbs on the guy he is guarding. He proves that effort and position matter.

I remember Trent almost had a "triple-double" in the Pre-season NIT Finals. He had double figures in points and rebounds and had, I believe, 8 turnovers. I remember hearing that somebody had kidded  him about it, but can't remember who.

Jon Smith also arguably was our MVP up at Kent State.  The man is having a great season.  He does so many great things that don't necessarily show up on the stat sheet.

When push came to shove at a couple of critical times down the stretch, our major breakdowns surfaced as our inability to control the driver of the ball, primarily Diggs.  His shots were clutch.  Anyone besides me find themselves really missing Rico down the stretch in this game????????

Jon Smith is playing his butt off, and our entire team is flat getting after it .   They are very unselfish, they willingly share the basketball and appear to actually enjoy playing team basketball.  A fun group to watch for sure.

After a difficult team loss, we need to re-group, and bounce back at home against Ball State.  Hopefully our students will hang with this team and continue to "bring-it" to the Convo !

My recollection is Jon got every tip at the Convo last year, despite being shorter than most he jumped against. I think he's got them all this year too.

YES - unless a bad toss up - as one of the OT tips were. Also - I was surprised we had Mo one of the OT tips - that we lost (it was a bad toss that favored 'Kron though).
