On the JC show last night, they talked to Ricardo. He said doctors cleared him to put weight on his leg yesterday and he is aiming to be back for the postseason. I really he is able to comeback so he gets a shot to wear the jersey again. Hate to see a Senior go out with an injury.
The team would also really benefit from getting him back.

Overall, pretty solid radio show last night. JC discussed his theories on end-game situations (foul, don't foul, timeout, no timeout) which was interesting and in addition to talking with Rico they also talked to the Ohio's Head Coach in Softball. Bobcats are 8-0 and she is also expecting a baby!

I missed the show, but I'd like to hear what he said about end game situations.  With hind sight being 20-20, I wondered why he didn't call a time out at the end of regulation / OT against Akron.  I also thought he would have fouled up 3 at Buffalo Saturday.  I'd love to see Rico take the floor again.

Are you sure you didn't listen? Those exact situations were discussed!

You are able to listen to past shows here on demand. Sometimes it takes a day or so for them to upload the most recent episode.

Overall, I really liked JC's response. He seems to have thought it out pretty well. I trust his thinking on it much more moving forward after listening to his thoughts on it.

I am a big fan of fouling under 5 secs up 3. I have read several papers and listened to many coaches who provided numbers that bear out the efficacy and statistics that support the practice.

That said, Buffalo never advanced the ball in that final 7 seconds far enough to be a threat Saturday. They threw the ball in and blew the play off the screen at the top. They then mishandled the ball to the point the foul was not necessary. Nick got an easy steal and the game went in the books with literally no contest.

If they had come out aggressive and made a pretty good in bounds move I have no qualms with the idea of fouling before they have a chance to get the shot off.

I am going to go back and listen to JC's explanation this evening.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Winter comes and asks how you spent your summer.....
