Its going to be the biggest home game since Wisconsin visited in 2002. Add to that wins against Northwestern and Indiana on the road to start the season. If my memory is correct, I believe we were ranked #5 in the country after that flurry. '69 - '70 was a fun ride with no superstars on the roster, just a bunch of good players who meshed well and were coached up. Matt has re established that and has rebuilt the program from it's situation a couple of recruiting classes back. Transfers are not any better at the schools they ended up playing for.... Coach Pitino was so impressed with the Trent and Geno team that played well at Rupp that he said he would schedule a game in Athens. Wasnt that game two seasons later? Unfortunately, Pitino was gone by the time the game was played and the Wilderness Campaign was in full swing. Two or three years was enough to insure that we didn't have one of the worst teams in OHIO history facing the Wildcats in the house. It was a shameful performance on Hunter's part. Truly shameful.
