I noticed the ozone didn't match or even stand up the whole game the last game. Back in the 90's-eirly 00's the ozone was my personal favorite. some of the guys who made the ozone were part of the camo trend. I always thought it stood for the country but also the military, i'm not really sure. they were all louder and had more fun than any other.i miss being a kid feeling the energy from to older ou kids we looked up to. make something cool happen for the convo and make some noise

I'm not a huge fan of camo, but I definitely think there needs to be an OZONE shirt made that stands out and all the students look the same. Seriously, sometimes, if I weren't a regular fan at the games, I'd have a hard time picking out where the student section even is. There's no reason why OZONE shirts shouldn't be distributed. I also like the idea of the towels.

I think it's hard to get students to wear their O-Zone shirts every game.

[Adjusts glasses] Uh, actually, it's not. You just need to enforce it and communicate to students that you are going to enforce it. O Zone leadership in past years has done this with little pushback.

The camo look has been brought up. I think it'd be cool for the O Zone to do that, but only as a one-game promotion. Kinda like black jerseys... Whiteouts... Etc... Do a one-game "camo-out" and line it up with armed forces day or something. Make a thing out of it. Get the right opponent, and I think students would REALLY go for that.
Would not want the O Zone to have a camo shirt all season though... Prefer we stick with traditional green.

I've seen crazier things happen.

The year the OZone was green and white mixed was fun. It kind of added a little competition to it. You gonna be a green OZoner or white?

Is it fair to suggest that Ohio Basketball could do a little more to improve this situation? Just seems like there are some things where someone employed within the Convo could be put in charge of some things to try to help create excitement, unity in terms of look, etc.

More fairly, in the past, there were a group of guys, many of them on this board, who blazed the trail. What did they do right, and what won't work anymore because times have changed a little? Seems like that's a good start to me.

I like that idea too..OZONE shirts NEED to be done. Might be too late for this season, but from here on out, someone has to take initiative and do this. I don't think it's a problem at all to get everyone to wear their shirt. Unless you have some crazy OU attire that makes you stand out, wearing an OZONE shirt is the next best thing. I still have all of mine.

Green & White? now that's interesting. I'm not positive, but I think those are Ohio's colors. They should try that. Drop the gimmicks.

by the way, camo is great for camouflage. It's not good for fashion.

What about green construction vests and white hard hats? Instead of the construction zone, it is the OZone. Have fun with the signs...

Just wear OHIO gear and be loud.

Definitely have promotional days like Green Fever, Blackouts, etc. Giveaways, food promotions, whatever.

We need to be more cognizant of when students are on campus. The first MAC home game with students there for winter quarter should be a themed game/crazy environment to get students HOOKED and aware that there will be several more games at the Convo.

Also need to find a better way to promote the players. If you're an OHIO student who has an interest in sports, you should know who Jaaron Simmons and Tony Campbell are.

What a day at the Convo.....Wow!

It used to be a rule that you must be wearing an Ozone shirt to get into the student section. There were guards that would stand at the top and enforce it through the first half. Is this not done anymore? I haven't been to a basketball game in awhile.

They've moved said guards to the outdoor walkways. ;)

Attend the game and have a wonderful joyous time and root, root, root for the home team. Remember, wear green, it's the school colors.

I have watched many college games this year and have noticed other schools really making these sections stand out. The last Michigan State game the student section, which ringed the court were wearing Lime Green shirts that matched the team that night. It was a great visual look.
The athletic department should fund these shirts for our section, and make it a requirement to sit there. They could also hand these out and recover after each game so we always have that consistent look. We can then switch from green to white to black. I would think that if we did this that the student section & the band would receive TV time, a good thing for school spirit.

Um, Ozone membership comes with a T-shirt already. They just have to enforce a rule about wearing it. I don't think we need to add any more hoops or traditions if we can't even get them to wear the damn shirts.

Michigan state basketball can afford new t shirts for their entire student body every game. I'd settle for Green and White, every game. I was watching the Michigan State thing... it was a feast for the eyes the way a raw steak moving itself across the counter before maggots spill out is a feast for the stomach.

I would love for the O Zone shirts to go back to white. Or at least a lighter a shade of green that shows up better on TV.

Didn't this go out the window when they had to start letting any student sit down in that section?

Not only for the O Zone, but O.U. in general.
We seem to be one the few mid majors that don't have logo hard hats.

Well, we barely have access to apparel on game day, so that would be a first step forward, and then hard hats maybe?

+1. Follett's is lacking at both Peden and the Convo. I guess they're partially limited by space, but would love a bigger spread.
