Anyone hear anything about Block'd knee? It looked like he couldn't pot any weight on it.

Saul says it might be a hamstring instead of a knee: http://www.athensmessenger.com/sports/ohiouniversity/camp...

Arkley just tweeted confirmation that it was hamstring, not knee. Block watched practice today with ice on leg, no braces.

He told me tonight it's "day to day" - though I think that likely means weeks - not days......

Well, this is actually very good news, as he should be back sometime this season. At the time, it looked like a season-ending injury and that he was headed for the operating table.

Left me wanting more. He looked really confident out there today and is gives good effort on defense. Made a couple of freshman mistakes but he looks really good IMO. I know he was forced into it with Dartis out yesterday but James Gollon looks out of place at the 1. That being said would love to see him get more run at the 2. I see him more as a scorer than a facilitator.

I agree on all that you've said here. We've seen flashes of what Gallon can do. Hopefully he gets more time in future years to prove it. It's good to look at this team and see Simmons, Darts, Block who will be together for 2 1/2 more seasons. I still maintain my opinion that the need for a combo/point guard who can handle it while Simmons or Dartis aren't on the floor is vital for this team going into the spring signing. On the other hand, I think that athletic 2/3 is equally important. Time will tell. Enjoy the ride, right?

He may not only be a nice spark off the bench and a solid Bobcat, but the young man may win an Academy Award for his acting skills !!

BANG !! .. Oh baby what a BIG TIME oscar winner !!

I think that was a facetious slam at the OSCAR situation. I laughed
