I turned the game on at the right time – Ohio is down 63-54 with 2:49 left.

Jenkins hits a 3.
Baldwin hits a 3.
Lexie nails another 3 to tie it with :44 sec. left.
We foul a 3 point shot, she makes 2 and we’re down 2 with 5 seconds left. We have the ball underneath our hoop. Boldon calls time-out.

Coach decides to make the leading scorer, Kiyanna Black, the decoy. Kiki Lampkins takes it out. With KB creating all the action outside, Lexie finds a lane to the hoop, a one bounce pass for the layup, AND the foul, which she drains and the Cats remain undefeated in the MAC.

I want to hear about this game more as the announcers said it was a technical foul-ridden game, and we had fouled out two key players. Sounds like it was nasty.

Go OHIO

Watched it all. 4 technicals 2 each. Lots of fouls seemed liked all our women were in foul trouble. Hannah fouled out. Great team come back.we took lots of 3s not great percentage but got them at the end. Ball State shot around 50% no 3s taken first half. Made several 2nd half.

Could be an painful game though, Weatherspoon's injury did not look good.

Yeah, very exciting game.

First technical was on Black(some sort of comment I guess), then Weatherspoon(disagreeing on a called foul - which sent her from 2 to 4 fouls in the first half). Then BSU coach - was lobbying all game and wouldn't stop yelling at the stripes. Then the last one was on Morrison for BSU for taunting Black. KB showed bigtime restraint, as she was really getting taunted (screamingly, if that's a word) for about half the court.

The game was rough. Weatherspoon went down on a non-contact situation, seemed like lower leg/ankle. Hope she is OK.

There were a lot of frustrating moments for both teams. Refs I think were hated by both sides at the end.

But most of all the lack of composure by BSU tipped the scales in Ohio's favor. They have nobody to blame but themselves for not being able to keep their cool.

Great win.

This is pretty sweet that people here are actually watching, paying big attention to the women. Good. Has that ever happened before during the season?

Boldon Ball.

Double Boldon Ball.

Yes Monroe, it has.

Insane game. To score 12 points on your last 4 shots of the game is unreal.

Ball State's only 2 MAC losses are both Ohio. Biggest hurdle left to pull off an undefeated MAC season. Still have Toledo & Akron on the road that won't be easy.

Love Bolden's in game-coaching style. Not half-way out on the floor, not trying to direct each pass or defensive move, etc. coaches like he prepared his players before the game and then trusts his players to execute. Refreshing.

I didn't see it, but I read the comeback started when Ball State's Jill Morrison was called for a technical for some pretty severe taunting with her team up nine with 2:49 to go. The free throws made it a seven-point game and then Jenkins and Baldwin had back-to-back 3s to make it a one-point game in a matter of 50 seconds. Then after two Ball State free throws, another Baldwin 3 and the game is tied.

I know there were two technicals on Ohio and one other on Ball State in the game, but the last one obviously was a killer. And especially taunting like that and then it leading to your team blowing the game, you've got to feel stupid. If these teams meet in the MAC Tournament, I'm sure it will be pretty heated.

Upsan,

Heated it will be if they meet come tourney time. Obviously, anything can happen come the event (i.e. EMU last year) but I like the chances of both teams seeing each other once again at the Q. It's tough to beat a team three times, but never tell Boldon & his program the odds!
