20-10 11-7 and second place east finish in regular season. It wasn't always easy or pretty, but Bobcats put together the kind of season we usually expect. They exceeded expected this season. This team started 1-3 in January and looked like a bottom seed in the MAC those first couple weeks, but the improved to really have a great season. 10-4 finish to the season. The emergence of Gavin Block probably the turning point to this team.

CMU about to go down in OT to WMU which means we are #2 in the league not just the East.

So...according to Hustlebelt

1 Kron
2 Ohio
3 Buffalo
4 CMU
5 Kent
6 Balls
7 NIU
8 EMU
9 Toledo
10 WMU
11 MIA
12 BG

I like it...We were 8-1 versus our half of the bracket (Buf, Balls, NIU, WMU, Mia)

We were 3-6 versus the other side of the bracket.

AND....unless Miami advances to Friday night, we'll be playing out of state opponents = virtual home crowd for us on Thursday and Friday.

Meanwhile, Akron may have to battle Toledo Thursday night and Kent Friday night.

Looks like Ohio will play the winner of NIU and WMU at 6:30 PM on Thursday.

Even if Miami does advance to Friday, it'd still be a home crowd for us.

I really like our quarter final match-up. Just as long as we avoid BG at all cost. I also think it's interesting that you could see an Akron vs. Kent/CMU match-up in the semi-finals. The bottom line this year's MAC tournament is so freaking wide open. Akron is the favorite but they are very beatable.

Cleveland is going to be fun!!!

You still have to WIN the game, but you have to love how the bracket shapes up for OHIO. We avoid Akron, Kent and BG (they beat us twice)...until the Finals. Granted a possible matchup with Buffalo will be brutal, but that should be like a home game for OHIO.

That path is there...just win.

In this morning's preview of the MAC tournament, Elton Alexander cited Ohio's 20 wins as the 16th season in which the program has won 20 or more games. He cited NIU's 20 wins as that programs 4th season of 20 or more wins.

Can a BA 'historian' tell fellow BA'ers how many seasons of 20 or more wins have been achieved by other MAC programs?

I remarked the other day that he needs to change the name on his back to Gavin. THe way MAC refs think and the way he is taking Charges I would hate for them to blow the call by reading the name on the back while standing on the baseline....maybe put a piece of tape that says NOTA in front of it.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Its the 5th time Ohio's won 20 this decade and under 3 different coaches. Almost no Ohio coach has not won 20 games.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

I would have to think that Saul is a heavy favorite for coach of the year.

Anyone disagree?

Oh, and by the way what was Jimmy's C's record this year? overall 7-24 and 0-18 in the ACC and by the way 0-10 on the road.
