This is dear to my heart because it would seem to reflect smart, hard-work, dedication. Leadership.

Who's on OHIO's All-Improvement team? Guys who really developed over the course of their career, especially at the end, especially fulfilling their potential or proving out even better than consensus had expected?

I can think of recent examples Treg Setty and Nick Kellogg.

Just to show that I'm not entirely anti-Monroe... good thread!

Mike Reese had a senior year that I did not see coming. He was very athletic, but by his senior year he finally seemed to just take much better shots. Always played good D.

Ed Sears - Yes, he was a juco, but it was a unique career. he had two years of eligibility. Played one, helped a little, then took a redshirt to get in shape, then had a monster senior year.

KVK, Devaughn and Flomo come to mind.

There are many who could make this list, but in recent memory, Nick Kellogg and Treg Setty.

DFC--I josh hard and some of your stuff truly irks me, as I let you know. But underneath, there's no real hard hard feeling and I hope that we can discuss stuff and unite in favor of O H I O.

Sorry..and I think that Doc won't take this the wrong way...but Tommy was solid from about day one. He certainly improved over time but I don't think he had the marked, rather unexpected improvement that the others showed.

As Doc says is so important, guys who come from winning programs are used to winning (duh) and have the talent/disciple/etc that supports that winning already. I have a memory (hope it's accurate) of Tommy knocking down a baseline 3ball with ice in his veins in his freshman year (TOS or Groce??) against Kansas at Kansas as we were getting blown out. Even as a frosh, Tommy had that confidence, that skill. He had it from day one. The only question was why he didn't start or see substantial time from day one 'cause (again, as I recall) he didn't play much at the beginning of his first year.

Yeah, KVK strikes as a guy who really made himself effective, who really realized what he could do to help the team and developed those skills. (Is he Dr. KVK yet?)

I am going KVK ...cussed about Monday morning Timed miles, went through the coaching change, a year later lost over 40 lbs, worked on his elbow and baseline jumpers, committed to boxing out and became a silent/strong leader. Growth on an extremely personal level and as a player.

Not sure if he's Dr. KVK, but he's definitely still Dr. Mid-range.

agree will all above, one to add from recent memory. Travis Wilkins transferred in as a post up 3 point shooter and left a complete basketball player.

Wilkins, KVK and Treg get my vote for recent All-Improvement Team guys.

Going back awhile, I'd put Jason Terry in this category.

Going back even further I might go with Larry Krueger.

Whitney Davis and Devaughn Washington, IMO, were the only players who got noticeably better with each passing year that I can remember. Guys like KVK and Treg were only mildly serviceable for a few years then got real good their senior years. Reggie was pretty much the same player his freshman and sophomore years, had a transformation, and was pretty much the same player his junior and senior years.

Agree on Whitney Davis, Devo and KVK.

KVK and Devaughn Washington vs Georgetown in 2010 sums it up pretty well. Devo had a double double. Both KVK and Devaughn avoided fouling out. You know who did foul out? Greg Monroe.

I've seen crazier things happen.
