I should know the answer to this by now, but what do I do with my time now? I have no more Bobcat games to watch or listen to until fall (and now upon the rumor that Russ might not be back, it's a little harder). What do I watch? What do I listen to?? WHAT DO I DO????

The opposing team sucks!

Speaking only for myself, after this weekend of March Madness is over, I'll be spending time on a trail, in the woods more on the weekends. Or, we'll be in the back yard around the fire pit listening to baseball, or old country tunes.

In our household, there are really just two seasons anymore: Summer, and "Athens Season", where every Saturday there's a home game, we're likely in Athens. Bring on summer to rest up for more windshield time to A-town next fall!

Ohio Women take on Temple tonight at 7pm in WNIT round of 16. It'll be a good contest, for sure. Game is on WOUB-AM, or Temple has a free video stream.

As for your next topic.. Broadcasters are always looking to move up in the "broadcast ranks" and are always working on their craft so they can get there. There are always openings come spring, but very few are upper echelon schools. Broadcasters from all over (employed or not) flood those opportunities with applications. Unless you're already on top of the "broadcast ranks", you're always looking out for those positions, and are always applying for them. Just like Va. Tech and LSU last year, rumors swirling of two more Power 5 school positions are opening up this year. It's a nitty gritty business, super tough and very competitive. You have to love what you do and who you do it for, or else broadcasting becomes miserable.

Plate is full. Basketball season never really ends for me. My son's AAU basketball season is just starting to ramp up. My oldest and youngest's winter short-course swim season just ended and it's into long course and then summer swimming. I play in a 30+ baseball league and my season starts the first week of April. My wife and I typically have the second half of July (basketball Nationals are the 2nd week of July) and all of August with no kids' activities. Then it all starts again. Yesterday morning I started the countdown until the first Bobcat basketball practice of 2016-17.

We're into season 4 Ted. Unbelievable parallels to what we're seeing in America today.

Enjoy it while you can Van. One day you'll wake up and you'll be the only two in the house. Kids grow up so quickly. Thank goodness for grand kids.

Not looking forward to it. I don't even like August, how the heck am I going to handle when it becomes permanent. On the bright side I'll make a lot more Ohio games in person.

If you'd like to come to my house and cut up some wood, please do. We have about seven big ash (correct spelling) trees that came down over the fall and winter that I haven't gotten to. Free firewood for the cutting. And I think the state has given up the ghost on stopping ash borers, so wood can be transported across county lines.

We will get by.

If you're serious about that, I have someone who might take you up on that.

You bet I'm serious. As I PM'ed you, I couldn't do much yard work after July last year, so the back yard is a shambles. If anyone's interested, let me know.

So for Spring Break my wife and I took my oldest (HS Junior) on college visits. We hit Carnegie Mellon, Case Western and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) with a side-trip to Niagara Falls. On the way from Case Western to RPI I told my family I wanted to drop in and see Buffalo since I'd never been there before. My first thought was how much it looked like a prison without the barbed wire. Made me really appreciate Athens.

You must have visited the campus next to the football stadium. There's a second campus that looks more traditional elsewhere in the city.

We did but isn't the South Campus pretty much just the School of Medicine?
