I am confident that the team will play like they should be playing and if they score more points than Cleaveland State they will win!

At 55-55 against Milwaukee Simmons and Campbell seemed to wake up. Simmons (12) and Campbell (4) scored 12 of the next 16 points for Bobcats. And, if I remember correctly, Campbell scored from the paint and Simmons on drives and a few jumpers. They suddenly looked like guys who were all-MAC last year.

If that carries into Saturday -- Simmons being aggressive and Campbell scoring from the paint -- we'll be fine.

Can somebody hit a pull up jumper for me?.....

If anyone needs an extra pair of tickets for Saturday, let me know via PM and I can make arrangements.

That was the problem with the UWM game.....first few possessions, Campbell was a beast....the first seven points.....two post buckets....setup an open three he nailed.....then he got bored and just started hanging out at the three-point line and didn't have much interest in playing inside.

That's what been troubling about this team....they just seem to get bored and look uninterested in doing what works.....moving the ball...getting AC touches in the post....Simmons driving to the hole.

Simmons had a handful of turnovers in the 1st half because he just flat didn't value the ball like he normally does......he looked totally out of it for a large portion of that game. Didn't really come alive until that stretch you mentioned above...but other than that was out of it.

Campbell could average 30 a game if he just decided to put more emphasis on his post game and less on hanging out in the corner looking for 3ptrs. No one seems to be able to stop him in the low post when he puts in the effort. He could easily score 18 ppg in the paint....still be able to knock down a couple 3ptrs....and get to the foul line 6-8 times per game (minimum).....he just takes so many possessions off and doesn't seemed too locked in.

And when they quit moving the ball around....Dartis and Kaminski basically become useless on offense. Neither has shown the consistent ability to get to the basket. They do it from time to time....but both tend to just wait and be catch-and-shoot guys (which they are good at when the ball moves quickly around and they're open)

Block still seems somewhat lost on offense. Very indecisive when he gets ball. Not sure if he should shoot/pass/dribble....a lot of times when ball gets in his hands, the offense slows down. Not sure if it's a confidence thing (which would be a shame, cause he has good skill and decent shot)....but he just needs to be confident when he gets the ball and go (either shoot, pass or dribble...immediately)

Not sure if this is just a holiday swoon......or if the team knew once they lost to Marshall the non-conference season was pretty meaningless so they're just going thru the motions....or if this is what we've got. A team that shows flashes of brilliance when they want....and sleep-walk their way thru games when they're bored.

Interested if they drop the hammer on a below average Cleve State team Saturday....or just go thru the motions and score a 5-8 point win.

The last few home games, there are several times I found myself begging Block to shoot. He passes up a lot of decent looks, at least it seems that way to me. He's a good shooter, I wish he would shoot a little more when he gets open looks.

looking forward to being in the "Round House" again tomorrow.

Will the O Zone seats be open for General Admission tomorrow since the students are gone?

Totally agree on this, and I've been thinking the same the past few games as well. Seems like his MO is to pump fake quickly and drive, no matter how open or not he is. I hope he starts letting some of those fly when he's open. He seems to get good looks a few times a game.

No webcast and no ESPN3? Wow. Not that ESPN3 actually works as advertised.

Never thought I'd say this, but bring back Stretch. I just want to watch the Cats! Huge step backwards this season.

What a day at the Convo.....Wow!

Anyone made the trip already down 33 and have a road report? Social media saying it's tough going right now.

Uh ohhh...nobody in stands....disinterested crowd....finals hangover. According to some on this board, these factors give our team the license to not give a flip today.

I agree.. Very disappointing there is no video today. Seems we have regressed back to the 1990's with radio only .. ; <

FWIW It's 50 degrees in Athens, no road issues down here.

Nice to see that we can have an absolutely horrible first half and come back in the second and just dominate. Liked how Jaaron and Tone stayed with it and that DT and Block provided some spark while they got it. Culver and Carter are going to be just fine in conference play. They are getting huge minutes and I think our depth will be awesome. Let's go get a solid road win at Western Kentucky on Wednesday!!!

Talk about multi-tasking, Tom was periscoping with one hand, texting/checking scores/chatting with another device, and all the while checking out the crowd and enjoying the game. From the chat room I take it he didn't know the periscope was picking up audio, curious about some of the color commentary he didn't know was broadcasting!

After today's performance, I'm a little fearful about the road game at WKU. I know that WKU has only won one game this year, but they are going to be desperate for a win and this game is on their home turf. BTW, does anyone know if 5-star recruit Mitchell Robinson is being red shirted? I haven't seen his name in game stories. How about our old buddy Bearden? I assume he's sitting out a year after the transfer from Beefs.

The team took care of business at home. WKU is a team that we should beat at this stage in the season and is a good test to gage how well we will do on the road in conference play.

If we win at WKU I would give the team a B+ finishing the pre-season with an 8-2 slate (not counting the Urbana game) against a level of competition that is on par for the real season. Positives are improved defense and more depth. Negatives are inconsistency and lack of toughness. That is my broad based assessment from a novice basketball mind.

I am very excited to see how the MAC season plays out and pray the team is playing its best ball come March. The MAC needs a win in the NCAA tournament, so the Bobcats should go back to the Big Dance!

Can I ask anyone who watches us regularly...why is Khari not getting any minutes? Injury? He has at least 15 starts in his career and has length and slasher mentality. How does he not get a few minutes? Is he like Wad? Done with OUr program? Grad transfer next year?

I got lambasted last month when I said he wouldn't hit the court and get minutes this year. Surprised he hasn't looked elsewhere.

From Saul's comments I believe Harley's back is enough of an issue that whether it be practice or game they don't know what he can give them. And because of that he can't give 100% in practice and get himself into the rotation. Transfering to another program is not going to do anything to help his back issues.
