Looking aside from the loss (and there's a lot of issues there), it feels warranted to bring up the fan incident. If not for the work of a fleet-footed police officer, there would have absolutely been a fight behind the scorer's table.

First of all, the one EMU fan/parent/etc. was completely out of line. But to those intentionally provoking and flipping the bird after the on-court skirmish...that seemed classless. Especially the guy who had his kid (10 years old?) with him there.

Another 2 guys in my section actually got up to run over that way too. It seriously could have gotten out-of-hand in a hurry.

Anyone see it up close?

We sit behind the scoreboard on the visitors side.. not sure what all went on but it got prettyy ugly. The police were really late getting to the confrontation . Adding fuel to the fire was Eastern's "star" player taunting and yelling at our fans , he is out of control - so arrogant . I can't believe his coaching staff allows those antics on the bench from him . Time to grow up - sure he's a talent, but hard to admire his game with what we saw today . There could have been people hurt ( fans & players) - things escalated quickly after that held ball scrum .

Thompson IV (reminds me of Edith Bunker reading a lawyer's business card and mistaking the roman numeral for initials, "Eye Vee") did a lot of jawing with Ohio fans later when he went to the bench with his fifth foul. He did produce, however, between the long delay and his fifth foul.

*Thompson was THE difference in winning vs losing, in my opinion. He played clean after incident.

*i was behind basket in 117, right where Block got spun and landed on Thompson. I was certain it would garner foul, 2 shot tech and Ohio ball. Probable ejection. Id really, really like to see a replay. Id looked BAD in real time, but i think both sides didnt escalate after Block landed on floor.

We had perfect view of the fan incident. Police were brought to spot just off court rapidly. They monitored situation and moved quick once female fan went into ohio section. She, blunty, was an idiot and agressive. Confrontational. Just a bad choice.

Thompson was an ass taunting old folks in stands after fouling out. On two separate occasions he hollered at fans, right next to HC. I lost total respect for whomever is Eastern HC on spot. He is a jellyfish.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Winter comes and asks how you spent your summer.....

The game loves and rewards those who love and reward the game

The "lady" was sitting next to me for awhile then moved over a few seats. She had a very limited vocabulary similar to a modern day Hollywood actress. She said "F- this/that" for nearly every action on the court.

As for the kid; first time I have seen them sit there. Family/friend of a team member. The kid picked up a lot of language on the day.

I did not see the finger; but pretty minor considering the EMU bench and fan language everyone was subjected too throughout the game.

Although I have missed quite a few games over the past few years; I have been sitting there since the Geno Ford days. I have sat behind a lot of teams/coaches. Rob Murphy has the foulest mouth I have heard since Dan Dakich. You expect to pick up some language sitting that close; but several EMU players/not all - were completely classless compared to most other teams. Even grandma Hipsher could not compete with that crew.
