Hustlebelt pulled this together. I like Charlie as the coach, though I think Dambrot probably deserves consideration.

I think the two guards are spot on for the first team as well.

Armon Bassett scored more points in a single MAC tournament than any player ever, yet he is only on the third team? That doesn't seem right.

Interesting list, although Groce winning two tournaments and not getting an honorable mention at least seems like an oversight.

He only played one year. That he made it at all is a sign of how dominant he was that single year -- not a slight at all.

No kidding. His 9-2 record in Cleveland has to be near the top. Dambrot should get the prize though. 3 titles, 8 finals and a 25-9 record. Charlie gets the nod strictly out of sympathy IMO. In 13 seasons he made the finals 3 times and won only once. His last 11 seasons he won the same number of games as Groce did in 4 seasons and had a 9-10 record.

Cleveland has served as a great venue for the tournament. I enjoyed the short drive to Battelle Hall for the tournament one year, but Toledo hosting it was really not ideal.
