The real question is how far was Chris Collins on the court when the Northwestern player hit the shot? ;)

What are some of your favorite moments in March? Including or not including things Ohio has done?

Here are some of mine.

Ali Farokhmanesh and Northern Iowa beat #1 overall seed Kansas in 2010. The balls on this guy.

TJ Sorrentine, Vermont stun Syracuse in 2005. The balls on THIS guy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbFNFHsNo3w

Princeton over UCLA in 1996.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYd9Tqiy-z8

Northwestern State over Iowa in 2006.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ktjk9HsnMA

Dunk City sweeps the nation. Florida Gulf Coast in 2013.

Tyus Edny goes the length of the floor for UCLA to beat Missouri in 1995.

Richard Hamilton and UConn beat Washington on a buzzer beater in 1998.

The day #13 Ohio beat #4 Mich, two 15s won: Lehigh beat Duke and Norfolk St beat Mizzou. It was the first time that three teams seeded 13 or higher won on the same day of the tourney. It might've busted some brackets, but I love to see the big guys go down.

Below is the link for one of my favorite (when I was on campus) March Madness memories. I believe it was exam week and many students were leaving campus for the end of Winter Quarter. I seem to recall watching the Illinois State game in some East Green dorm's main floor, since back then East Green dorm rooms weren't wired for cable.

Later to hear a much younger Dick Vitale talk fondly about the Bobcats was amazing, since ESPN was relatively new at the time. As hard as it is to believe now, this sort of national coverage was almost unimaginable.

Lincoln was the only one I believe and the main reason I chose it for sophomore year. I watched that game at the College Inn where my girlfriend lived and nearly broke my hand on the ceiling of the TV lounge when Robert Tatum hit that shot.

OUVan that sounds right. Ah the memories, it is hard to get across to younger people now how big of a deal that game was at the time. Just seeing the Bobcats on TV in any setting was amazing, let alone on national TV with the up and coming ESPN analyst Dick Vitale singing our praises!

I was there. Personally, the best Bobcat sports experience of my life when Green hit the 3 to tie.

[Ohio coach Tim O'Shea kept reminding his team of Florida's recent struggles and told them in a timeout that they could add their names to the list of NCAA upsets.

They nearly did. Trailing 55-35 with 11:51 left, the Bobcats went on a 20-2 run and tied the game at 60-all with 2:12 left on Mychal Green's sixth 3-pointer. Ohio (21-11) rallied from 19 points down to win the Mid-American Conference title.

The comeback had fans at Gaylord Entertainment Center cheering for the Bobcats, and Donovan tried to stop Ohio's momentum with three timeouts.

Instead, Lee threw up an air ball from 15 feet that Roberson caught under the basket and put it back up for only his only bucket of the second half. Terren Harbut fouled him, and Roberson added the free throw for a 63-60 edge.

The Bobcats didn't score again until the final seconds, and the Gators sealed the victory with four consecutive free throws.

Going back and forth and sending texts to the Convo while the girls game was in progress last night. NU has our local kid Bryant at PG spot, flipping over to watch Ku and UD and watching UI and their game thread was a good night for excitement in hoops. All 3 games were dramatic and well worth the time to watch as their sagas unfolded.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Winter comes and asks how you spent your summer.....

The game loves and rewards those who love and reward the game

P.S. The UK game was not even on TV in Athens. My frat brothers and I listened to it on WHAS, with the legendary Cawood Ledford. When Cawood announced with about two minutes to go that OHIO was sending in the subs, the whole frat house erupted! It's a great memory of what is probably OHIO's greatest basketball victory.

Oh my god this one made me so mad. I can't remember where, but I was watching it and they cut away to a different game because the game was a blowout. But all of a sudden they kept giving updates and it was basically a montage of Green canning three after three after three...and sooner or later it was tied again. I never saw the final two minutes.

That's amazing Ohio Cat Fan, do you remember if there was a network that carried the NCAA tournament in 1964, or was it done by local stations? Is there even complete game footage of Ohio's greatest win?

The networks apparently, as best I can remember, picked up the games in the next round. Our game against Michigan was on network TV. We lost this game because, I think, we were more tired than the Wolverines, as we had played three games in about five or six days, and Michigan had a first round bye (as did Kentucky). Our win against Louisville was in the first round. The Kentucky game was the second round, and the Michigan game was the third round. A win over UMich would have put us in the Final Four. Less games to reach the Final Four back then. So, the Elite 8 games through the Final Four and championship games were on network TV. The earlier games were just on local and regional TV and were kind of a patchwork, as I recall.

We did watch the OHIO-Michigan game in the frat house on TV. Too bad we didn't do the Michigone thing that year!

I've seen excerpts of the game. I believe the AD's office has those. I don't believe there is a complete video of the game. If it does exist, it's probably at WHAS-TV in Lexington. Might be worth it for the OHIO AD's office to check on that. In 1964, it would probably have been on two-inch tape, if indeed it was taped.
