First ever tournament birth. I thought they made it with Geno Carlisle.

Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes

THey had a baby?

A tournament birth...for all intensive purposes that is a miracle. I only hope they do not loose.

Bad joke alert, I want be a know it all and be a medi. I don't enjoy the board anymore. I feel like crying. Congrats to Nortwestern, they should decline the bid, they have had enough, the coaches shouldn't try to make road warriors out them.

THey are old enough to have grandchildren, THey don't cry when people voice negative opinions about their performance, They are resilient. I am not if THey had a baby though.

Your frequent and unrealistic rants are indeed making it much less enjoyable these days.

I know that believing that we fan go to the tournament or win the MAC is unrealistic in a mediocre world. I just hope that we eat our Chunky soup and continue to grow.

Say what you want and be sarcastic and condescending, I truly do not know if folks know the difference between a birth and a berth or loosing a ball game vs losing a ball game. I always hesitate to say things as guys like Gman are close friends but that does not mean I don't give him a ration of good natured ribbing about stuff like that. Harder to do when folks are anonymous and hiding.

Sorry you do not enjoy the board. I have been through that myself. There are many other boards where I find enjoyment. I really like the folks I have met here. It is a truly unique place where can get to know people, share a beer, discuss things on the board and in person......till some anonymous soul hides behind a name and makes it a personal place to stir stuff up.

For all intents and purposes
loose a game
go two the game
have a tourney birth

I have a whole list of things I am not sure if people really know, are typing and letting autocorrect choose or ascribe to some other variation of HOMOPHONE assasination. Enquiring minds........

No, what's unrealistic is pouting like a toddler after a 20-win season that saw us lose the best player in the conference, completely retool the offense mid-season, fight through to get a two seed, play two good games in the MAC tournament and develop some very promising underclassmen along the way.

That some people on this board are unhappy or angry after the season is ridiculous and unrealistic. We're all disappointed, and we all want more for the program, but if you can't see that it was a good season given the circumstances then you're blindly negative.

Getting back to original topic for a second.

It was nice to see the genuine enthusiasm on the part of Northwestern when their name was announced.

Reminds me of us a few years ago.

Its a shame that so many of the teams, that go to The Dance all the time, have this "ho-hum" attitude.

I said we did a great job, you have mixed up with someone else. As far as standards, I don't believe that getting a number 2 seed earns a coach a lifelong contract. The pouting was a figment of your imagination, you manipulated your own emotion because you felt that I attacked you with comments about mediocrity. As long as you have mediocre visions, you will always go into fight or flight mode when I say that we should high.

I didn't know they were called eggcorns. That's why I like BA, I always learn something new. I saw "Eggcorns" are the gaffes the spread like wildflowers.

With all the concern and hand-wringing about MTSU's academics (and that would go double for ETSU since half their roster are transfers)... shouldn't Northwestern as well as Duke, Princeton, Vandy, Notre Dame... all get an automatic bye to the round of 32 based on kick-@55 academics while teams with lots of transfers having to play an extra game to be in? Kent has 6 just like ETSU.
