games tonite.

Worth watching ILL state jumped out allowing JOhnny Dawkins kid 1 point forever. Up 15 1 at first them 33 15 presently . Ill St looks pretty good at home.

Kron coming on soon and Illini have BOise. Winner to match up with Ill St winner.

Walk coaching Illini tonite till they are done in tourney.

Muller is a former Redbird. Strikes me as lots of coaches back at their alma mater.

Basketball winding down . Fun to see kids close out the year and in some cases a career.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Winter comes and asks how you spent your summer.....

7'6 kid is huge for UCF

Kron getting beat .....seem to be reverting to expectations

Akron getting chippy down 13. Imagine a few techs coming soon. Classy competitors

Akron is playing like they spent the week in Texas at the Golden Corral. They are getting completely outclassed, yea I know class and Akron don't belong in the same sentence, but man they are getting their _sses handed to them.

opened up a huge lead. Looks like Dambrot is back in his post season form. McNeese looks worse in a suit on the bench than he did in uniform...

Commentators on the Illini game just talked about new coach being able to recruit Illinois kids to the only "big 10 franchise in the state of Illinois" Hmmmmm these tourneys sure provide some interesting commentary

Illinois state has not hosted Illinois since 1920. eeeesh. and I thought we had problems with tO$U since their last visit to the Convo a couple decades ago

Gotta love how Dambrot was ticked the UTA Arlington 14th man fired up a 3 with 10 seconds left. Give me a break K-Dog. Put on your jacket and head back to Akron. Congrats though on netting an NIT win. Now go yell at Jason Arkley again for not treating you fairly.

Yeah, Borna, you called it on the techs.

Combination of an outstanding performanCE by a team that could win the NIT and a disinterested Zips.

Goodness - Akron got rolled. Looked pretty pathetic for long stretches.

That whole program confuses me. Kick ass I the MAC regular season for a decade but... nothing else... Weird.

Can somebody hit a pull up jumper for me?.....

dunno. Illini and UCf looking pretty strong in that field too. OK St gonna poach UTA coach? Still 5 mins left though Illinois still got a chance to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

Good thing he kept them in TX rather than coming back toKron

Anyone making that commentary about Illinois needs to be removed from the broadcast booth. If you're unable to see Northwestern in the tournament and then make that comment, you're simply a fool rambling on.

Isn't that the truth. And the last two years Akron has had pretty darn good teams that I thought could at least win a game or two in the Tournament, or really do something in the NIT.

It's getting a little old now with Dambrot whining and acting like he's John Calipari or Mike Krzyzewski. He's done a great job at Akron but now he's getting to be that old cranky uncle you have that thinks he can speak his mind because of his seniority. I would take our run of several coaches and success and keep it over his regular season success and sellout-ability anyday.

Not only did they say it afew times in the first half but kept saying into the second as observed by the Illini poster

Quote:
These announcers are brutal. Not that I don't chuckle everytime the guy says we are the only BIG in Illinois, but nobody corrected him at the half?

And the "nothing but net" on LB's three...except for the parts of the rim it hit as well.

Did anyone catch the color guy on the Akron-UT-Arlington game saying "Isaiah Johnson dominated the MAC like no one has dominated a conference in a long time." Just had to laugh and roll my eyes.

I caught that as well. I don't even think his numbers statistically bear that out. Seemed that they were very familiar with UTSA and not as much with Kron

They were probably reading the MAC media office's reports about how great he is. I still get annoyed that he won POY. Blake Hamilton and Jimmy Hall are/were better.
