I know you did not assert that, I was just stating that baseball was a condition of membership when UB joined. That is no longer the case. UB started the program in 2000 and joined the MAC in 2001 for baseball to fullfill their membership obligation. No insider knowledge, but baseball is no longer a required sport. I do not believe they even have an on campus facility anymore. If not, even more would be cut. And baseball would get chopped all over. (I don't feel as bad for baseball as a sport overall as there is an extensive minor league system.)
