They spend up to 5X our budget and should win every game, but the reality is they can get beat. They have nothing to gain. That's why there should be a scheduling mandate with all the money that's at stake. VCU has written into their contracts that if/when a coach leaves, they're required to play a home and home with the new school vs VCU. A genius contract clause that every mid-major contract should include. I'd just like to see the NCAA, and it's Selection Committee establish rules requiring a minimum of 3 non-conference road games. That solves all the problems and forces the "big boys" out of their own barn once in awhile. And no matter what some say, lots and lots of fans want this. I looked at their schedule and they have 14 of those games. 11 were at home, one against Pitt at a neutral site and 2 in a Vegas tourney. He said they consider the A10 a 3 or 4 bid league and think padding the records with home games elevates the league. There is a game within the game. Maybe it is time, but as a fan, I don't like the idea of more conference games to be honest. 18 is plenty for me.
