Message Not Read  Students at Friday's game?

Anyone else get an email from the athletic department inquiring if you plan on attending the Miami game? I assume they sent it to all season ticket holders and it stated that they're trying to get a feel for how many of us will be attending so that they can be sure to hold back enough tickets for the students.

However, Friday is the last day of classes before spring break (the e-mail even acknowledges this fact) and I don't expect many students will be staying back in town for this game. Probably more will because Miami is having the season it is, but still I expect a small number.

Obviously a small sample size, but my son and one of his friends will be in the Convo. But all of his other friends/classmates, many of whom attend basketball games, will not.

A discussion of how the MAC should ALWAYS schedule Ohio v. Miami games, as well as other MAC rivalry matchups, while students are on campus deserves a whole other thread.

Don’t expect many students to attend this game at 9 pm Friday evening. Many of them will be out of town Thursday or Friday morning at the latest. Yes, the MAC office should try to schedule the Miami and Bobcat game if at all possible on a Saturday when both schools are still in session. The same should be said for scheduling Miami home and away in football. No way should this rivalry game be played on a Tuesday evening in November.

Can't imagine there will be more than 50 students in attendance, but I am hoping the 110, dance team and cheerleaders are sticking around?

There are also high school tournament games being played Friday in various places which will surely drag attendance a little bit.

Not me but on a related note, I heard one of the announcers say Saturday that this (Toledo) was only the second Saturday home game since the new year started.
