Which situation would you prefer to be in after 9 games? (NT)

	Our situation (3-6 with easily the hardest schedule in the MAC)
	Miami's situation (9-0 with one of the worst schedules in the country)

I just voted 9-0 and immediately wanted to change the vote. Just like every 9-0 isn't equal, every 9-0 against a weak schedule isn't equal. Miami can sell 9-0 to their casual fans and alumni and generate buzz. How loud are the voices calling out their weak schedule? You think Suzy Sorority at Chi Omega cares about KenPom?

But... you needed overtime to beat mediocre Asheville, you let Pine Bluff score 84 in your gym, you could only beat Mercyhurst by five. Congratulations on beating winless Maine by 30+.

I was not that mad at what happened at St. Mary's and Louisville. Bethune and George Mason were embarrassing. We got things right against Maine and looked like a legitimate basketball team that knew what it was doing against Marshall. Be competitive until the end or better against Bonnies and maybe we're trending positively steeper than Miami is.

I gotta be honest here...

When you're playing for 3 days in March, I'm not sure it matters, but one looks a hell of a lot better than the other.

Dorks like us know they're playing one of the hardest schedules in the country. I've been posting it for weeks. The 99% at home, hell even some on this board, are wondering how it went so wrong so fast.

If you're playing for rankings, and seeding, and are a bubble team... then you play the tougher schedule. If you're in the MAC, the 4-5th best team at that... I dont know that getting your doors blown off by multiple superior team improves your play against other opponents. More likely, Miami is riding high on a confidence wave into MAC play while we're dragging our legs behind us pointing at sos.

This is an excellent question. So excellent I didn't even answer it. I want to say our path prepares us better for what truly matters - Success in the MAC with hopefully culminating in a championship and NCAA berth. But I could handle an argument that the 9-0 path cultivates a winning attitude and confidence, and cohesiveness without any strife.

From the image perspective, I think 9-0 is better. Especially at the mid-major level, so many do not bother to dig into details...9-0 sounds bad ass no matter how you slice it.

Since the regular season apparently doesn�t matter, who cares? In fact, why should I buy season tickets to watch a bunch of developmental games that tries to prepare the team for what really matters. I should just save my time and money and go to Cleveland if we get there (and I haven�t lost my interest by then). I�ll have to consider that next year.

I want 9-0 with our schedule. The first university in the Northwest Territory deserves a better basketball team.
