Kinda like after a hangover when you feel better after you throw up. Mayfield from Michigan State transferred in last year. Don't be surprised to see another D-line or two leave with these guys coming in. They aren't coming to Ohio to sit on the bench. They'll be playing in front of some guys who are already here next year. Purdue redshirt sophomore defensive end Dontay Hunter has entered the transfer portal. Hunter missed all of the 2021 season recovering from an Achilles injury. The 6-4, 270-pound Westerville, Ohio, native never played a down for the Boilermakers. Lack of a pass rush has been OUr Achilles Heel (pun intended). The Big Ten transfers and the JUCO DE plus a new DC should help. If we get the Fiami D-Line coach he is noted for his pass rush. The defense has really struggled generating pressure without blitzing.
