While I appreciate the brief videos and pics. Some content would be awesome. Position groups breakdown. An interview with the new DC, will they hire a RB coach? I mean is Albin going to call plays, coach RB’s and try to be the head coach? There has to be an aspiring journalist on campus who could provide some updates.

With the expansive SID staff, I’m shocked we are not getting daily coverage.

With 5 members of the Communications team, there is no reason to not have more material in output mode. Just takes planning. Not hard to do if they are adept at their job.

They were just hiring to fill positions, maybe you should have applied so you could have given the guidance that was/is needed.

Perhaps I should have, as planning, managing, and executing communications for clients is what I do for a living. I guess the old adage is true: “Those who can’t do, teach. Those who can’t teach, work for athletic departments.”

I am sure they would value your expertise, and would amply award you with a $35k job, or $10k internship. Probably not worth your time though for that kind of cash.

“we can’t afford it” is lazy and self serving. planning (and not just reacting) changes the dynamic from cost to value. I just structured 30 days of content for a client. took less than a day. client then adds photo and sentence or two to finalize content. translation? create content for each position group and a few other topics. every few days reach out to position coach, etc for comment. now have daily content for spring practice. total time invested? 10-12 hours. have now created value in promoting a cornerstone sport. planning is the cure for, “but we can’t….”

no worries squared. teaching youth is most commendable.

Great! Here is a business opportunity for you. Sell your services to the Athletic Department and show them how to better plan, so they can get the cost value out of their resources. I mean, there is obviously a reason you are not seeing content on spring ball. Don't be the internet complainer, be the guy who creates change! You seem to have the resources to do so, offer them up! Be the change you want to see! That is another old adage!

The lack of any coverage of spring practice is an annual complaint from me. It is especially puzzling when they are running a football season ticket campaign during this time of year.

I do not expect much from this coach during the Spring camp.

I did see an article on the ESPN web site about MAC Football.
Not to much talk on the positive side for us. What my take away from this report is we would be lucky to end the year @ 6-6. While this will be a positive over LY I for one do not see that happening, maybe 4-8 or 5-7 is more likely.
If the season does turn into another losing one I would have to believe there will be a change in the coaching ranks. Too say that Tim is on the hot puts is not an under statement.

71 Bobcat has to be mixing up his "to" and "too" on purpose, no? I'll know for certain if his next post misuses "two".

So a schedule is too much to ask for? Is there a Spring Game of some kind? Was today a scrimmage?

And an equipment sale?

Some people like to make plans.

April 9?

What I miss is reporting from independent news sources. They generally give a non-spin perspective on practices that aren't closed and least might score a real interview or two. But the Mess is a mess, Arkley has other commitments, and the Post apparently doesn't care.

Perhaps the lack of coverage is by design.

So we'll all be surprised when we run [running back's name here] UTM on three out of every four plays?

Or punt from the opponent's 35 on 4th and two?

Or maybe they're trying out new TD hats and chairs?
