Their views do not align, though I lost a lot of respect for her when she started dating him given his treatment of his previous wife. Scumbag.

No amount of factual information is going to sway Dr. Malone's followers (sounds familiar). The final blow was the airing of the Rogan interview. 11 million listeners on average per episode is truly an astonishing reach for a podcast.

Our society (especially in the Millennial generation) attributes Joe Rogan to the "truth". If you make it onto his show (or even mentioned in an episode) you are given instant credibility among 11+ million people.

Rogan was entertaining until he put most of his effort into thwarting CNN and arming his right-wing audience with misinformation in the name of FREEDOM (and guns).

I've listened to maybe 2 or 3 episodes of Joe Rogan and they were all about aliens, but I keep seeing clips of what he says on social media and I gotta say his suggestion that people eat healthy and exercise is ridiculous. I ate like garbage in the OU dining halls for years and I feel fine.

No need to listen to the other 1,766 episodes, eating healthy and aliens sums it up. Eating healthy and aliens. Truth.

You do realize that JFK Jr is not really dead? I mean, they are still waiting on him in Dallas ;-)

He's running with Trump in 2024, right? I believe he was going to show up at the grassy knoll, and then when he didn't it was going to be at the Stones concert that night? Never heard if he showed up to get some satisfaction

Kennedy Jr and Trump weren't going to wait until 2024 to return to the White House. Summer of 2021, I believe, was one of the timelines I heard for Trump's return to the oval office.

OK, I need help understanding this.

Golden State has not allowed its unvaccinated players play in home games this year as well as not allowing any unvaccinated fans in the building. However, they will allow genius, flat-earther Kyrie Erving play for the Nets Saturday night in Golden State despite not being vaccinated.

I think that has to do with California law, which affects residents of other states differently.

Though San Francisco mandates all spectators and Warriors players and staff be fully vaccinated to enter the arena, Irving and all other visiting NBA players are exempt from the mandate under San Francisco Department of Public Health guidelines.

“In contrast to home players, players or other performers who are not employed by the host of the event (“visiting players or performers”) are exempt from the vaccine verification requirements,” the SFDPH guidelines read.

Irving and any other unvaccinated visiting players, instead, must provided proof of a negative test for COVID-19 and are “strongly urged to be up-to-date on vaccination before performing or playing.”

While we have a "supposed" mandate on campus and in the Convo - while several who have many years first row behind the team bench season tics refuse to wear masks therefore putting OUr team players at risk - I do not understand their mindsets...

Really sad to see the racism directed at Kyrie Irving. How quickly we forget about the evils of government and the CDC directed Tuskegee experiments.

I've seen crazier things happen.

I don't think it's racial. People can't stand Aaron Rodgers either and plenty of others.

I'm with you. When I watch the games on TV from home and see a guy associated with the team sitting in the first row with no mask, I just shake my head. "Supposed" is the operative word for sure.

Interesting. I've not heard racist remarks directed towards Kyrie over his stance on the vaccine - only hearing that he's an idiot who in addition to his view on the vax also still thinks the earth is flat, man never landed on the moon, and that his teammates (mostly black) think he's ruining the Nets chance at a championship. You'd think he would have picked up some knowledge in his 4 months at Duke.

But, but, but, it's Kyrie and he is black to it must be racist (rolling eyes emoji needed badly)

Lots of guys draw lightning for 1) being a consistent winner 2) being a loudmouth idiot 3) flaunting their stardom without considering their audience (read the room All Star

I think you hit on and I am surprised white guy played the racist card without a reason. Not surprised it happened because that is where we are. Please point our what was racist about the previous post

Before going all ballistic, this is a conversation, specifically regarding vaccines and the previous history and stories of the earlier part of the Twentieth century that has been visited in our peer group which is largely black and mixed-minority. Many of those minorities are fully vaccinated and have their boosters and are shaking their heads at folks who don't regardless of race.

In my opinion The Optimist is just stirring the pot because he thinks it's fun, but if anyone has issues with the information provided take it up with Shayna Rubin of The Mercury reporting from the Bay Area.

It might be time for The Optimist to change the handle to "The Sarcastic"...people are not picking up on your new refreshing method of trolling as well as I am.

It doesn’t. People have lately been misreading Optimist’s softbrain sarcasm, usually resulting in confusion. Ruck sees in said sarcasm a political opinion he agrees with, so he likes it.

I don't want to speak for Optimist, but aside from being intentionally ridiculous in his sarcasm...I believe Kyrie has a history of the race card which may be the tie-in you're looking for. Part of the allure is Optimist will not explain or defend his sarcasm and leaves us to fend for ourselves. He's basically a modern day Andy Kaufman.
