Turnovers were the difference. Period. Ohio had 5 of them and yet still had a shot to win it on the last drive. Troy's only score in the entire second half was a 4 yards drive following a turnover. Chew on that for a minute.

Too many bad mistakes. Defense played their butts off. Quarterback cost the team this game with 5 turnovers and might have had ten picks with the ones that might have been picked.

Tough to win with so many turnovers. Give credit to Troy's defense. Still, I thought the Cats might pull it out, but again Troy's defense prevailed. Proud of OHIO for again making it to a bowl game after winning the MAC east. I do agree, we need a good quarterback next year, and that would go a long way. MAC is 0-4 in bowl games, so it's not just the Bobcats. Disappointing loss of a close game (again).

Yes, the MAC has yet to win a bowl game which one could argue just how bad this conference is year in and year out with Ohio apparently leading the way.

We played a good Troy team and found a way to beat ourselves. I can't be upset with the loss or the effort. I am upset about the play-calling and the time management.
Well it's on to next year. Will we fix the play-calling? Will a QB emerge? Will we play confident at the end of a game against a decent opponent? Will the coaches win the battle in the living room to get us some more talent? Hats off to the seniors, thank you for your for or five years. I wish you could have went out champions. God bless you all.
To FS, you have been at it awhile and you are a good coach. Please make the adjustments necessary and stop the we were close movement. Sometimes we all have to make tough decisions. Please have a heart to heart with Tim Albin and others. Please find a way to close out good opponents.

Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes

As I have said a million times. When you recruit like we do,. it is hard to get ENOUGH GOOD players on the field at the same time to win a Championship or bowl game. You just cannot coach up enough NR and 2-star guys at one ti e. Now we have a good front 7 and no OL, DB or QB. Bu the time we get the OL we need and some DBs, and maybe a QB the front 7 will suck.

Solution-Go out and get 10 really good players (3-stars) every year so we have ENOUGH GOOD players to win Championships and Bowls.I know that is easier said than done but if WMU can do it after 12 years why cant we?

We do need more talent. If a team has a star, he looks like an NFL Hall of Famer against us. From Sanu to Corey Davis. We do need to step up our recruiting and get a few more top notch athletes. The biggest achilles heel has been our QB and our tentative play-calling. The start forever philosophy needs to end. We should be recruiting to challenge our middle of the road players, not recruiting to back them up and hoping that they will get better.
