With Frank Solich retiring at over 100 wins, Ohio is the only university in the "Group of 5" to have 3 coaches with 100 wins. 100 wins is quite rare at a G5 school. Surprisingly Chris Petersen didn't accomplish it at Boise State though he was close with 92 wins.

Jess Neely coached Rice while it was in the Southwest Conference, which at the time was a "P" conference. The other teams were Texas, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Baylor, SMU and TCU. Scratch him from the list.

As tough as this would be to believe as to the way things are in the current times Neely began his coaching career at Clemson and then upgraded to coach Rice for the remainder of his career.

But as this source doesn't include Don Peden or Bill Hess as coaches who should be on the list because Ohio wasn't apparently playing at the highest level of football in those days then they can be scratched too.
