Now I'm hearing the play-in games and the NCAA games in Cleveland will be played without spectators.

Yes, and pro sports are part of the ban too.

This looks like no attendance at any NCAA games through the Final Four.

I can't believe the state of Ohio led the charge on this.

The Ivy League just cancelled all spring sports. I imagine others will follow.

Somehow RPbobcat will blame this on Nellis regime.

McDavis handled the Swine Flu pandemic of 2009 very well. He never would've let coronavirus get out of control like Nellis has.

I've seen crazier things happen.

Sorry, it was my 4 a’m. break and was sick of reading this thread. Let me say this.

Nobody should care what Joe Six Pack thinks during a global pandemic. It’s like me offering my opinion on how to tightrope walk to Nick Wallenda as he’s walking over a volcano.

Everybody shut up and just stay inside. You're not smarter than epidemiologists and people who fought ebola. You're not. I’m sorry the modern world convinced everybody with social media your voice matters in this instance. It doesn’t. And your little basketball game doesn’t matter either.

It’s like staring into an eclipse to show off manhood. “SEE! SEE! I’m not irreparably harmed! I’M SMARTER THAN THE SCIENTISTS!”

No. I refuse to be a sheeple. I actually analyze things and think for myself. I plan on going about my life just like any sane person should - except I might frequent some local businesses more frequently now to counteract the fact DeWine's dumb butt essentially tried to put them all out of business today.

According to "scientists" we're probably all going to die from the 19th strain of Coronavirus. I suggest we go full Mole People underground for the next 6 months.

Back on planet Earth. Wash your hands and try to not lick so many doorknobs and statistically you're going to be just fine. Unless you fear the sniffles. In which case freak out. Also, I hope to heck those suggesting we just "stay inside" also refuse to get in motor vehicles.

Just a sad state of affairs that our media and elected officials are actually propagating this mass hysteria which is now spilling over and effecting real people in ways such as NCAA basketball tournaments of all things.

I love it when Brian gets indignant.

We can't stop you from being stupid, but you deserve to get reminded of it.

Still time. I can share my essay about being suicidal if it would give you the necessary insight.

The NCAA is banning fans from March Madness and the D1 Wrestling Championship.

Since they run the NIT I would think that's next.

Today NYC canceled the Saint Patrick's Day parade.
I believe that's the first time ever.

I'm surprised, given this.they're letting the Big East BB Tournament go on with fans at The Garden.

El Salvador just went on lockdown. Cases and deaths in Italy are rising by the day.

Related to that: I haven't done the primary research, but a literature search indicates that eating Tide Pods is an effective way to avoid coronavirus infection

Edited to add: in case any of you are unsure, that was sarcasm.

Now that the president has said that we should avoid large gatherings, we should see the lackeyism and propaganda subside. No more stories of leaders declaring fake emergencies just to get funds from the federal government (it is highly unlikely that a seasoned politician would admit to defrauding the government), no more hearing that the testing is perfect and more than sufficient, no more dewine talked the world into cancelling events, and finally we can say that the subject matter experts (epidemiologists) were right. Tom Hanks just tested positive for the corona virus, wow. There is a rumor that Rudy Gobert and Emmanuel mudiay May have the illness. Go Cats

Gobert HAS the virus. NBA is suspending the season. I’d stay tuned for other shoes that might drop. 👞

They allowed the players to go to the arena knowing that he was sick, crazy.

had dinner tonight with a woman whose son is in the military overseeing an infectious disease management team. asked if we were overreacting his response was basically the public has no idea what we are dealing with. has been working around the clock creating contingency plans. only talked to his mother because his father is in critical condition so he is by his side. very serious folks. be concerned for yourself and others.

Dr. Fauci said that it is extremely infectious. Gobert May have gotten it from this.

and the cancellations and fan decisions are not being done in isolation. to much economic impact. no way the nba suspends business putting thousands out of work (arena workers etc) without talking and getting advise from the administration, cdc, etc.
