Previously committed to Miami (FL) then Louisville. Also offers from Florid and Georgia.

This feels like a massive commitment. Is there more to the story we don't know?

I think the new Louisville staff came in and pulled his offer.

Exactly the first thing I thought as well.

Has to be something's up, although he must be academically qualified if he's planning on enrolling in January.

Man, wow, him and Burton, we are ready to rock on the D-line

This is a huge addition, in more ways than one. He is Ohio's second highest rated recruit ever, behind Jon Lechner. Tyler Foster, also this year, now drops to 4th highest ever, behind Deontai Williams, who never actually made it to Ohio. That means that if Daxon and Foster both arrive in Athens, they will be the 2d and 3rd highest rated recruits ever.

As for Daxon, he's big, he's strong, and he's quick. I think he's going to be a force.

A DT from Carol City Florida. We should all believe in Santa Claus after this commitment.

His life should become a little more difficult against Hayes, Meservy, Kitrell, Sink, Danneker, etc.

They need to be ready for him too. According to those weightroom stats from a post above, he will be setting some records with Dak before he is drafted.

His coach Tunsil tweets congrats to Densel "Suh" Daxon. If this is putting him like Ndamukong our expectations can be high. Really tho, no pressure.

Let's get Denzel and all of the other commits signed on Wednesday. Potentially the best class under Frank?

With Denzel and the others I’d say heck yes.

I’m thinking with Denzel and a few others you’ve got at least 3 or 4 that will lose their redshirt.

I hope not.

If you watch his video you have to ask the question how can somebody pull his offer.

Whatever the reason lets count our blessings that he literally fell into our lap some how and he is eligible this spring..hopefully his commitment sticks because I'm sure the Big School poachers are circling this kid now.

I guarantee this is all about playing time. He can start with Baker now. Then you have big McCracken joining the trenches and we have several defense lineman that are over 300 lbs. We will definitely stop the run next year.

yup - now he can play angry. Had switched to Louisville (from Miami) saying "getting away from home is a good way to grow up." Welcome young man.

New to football - will need solid coaching to realize his potential. How does our DL coach rate?

In the past one of OUr biggest problems was lack of depth.

I’m not predicting a MACC....but I can tell you next years team will for the most part will be loaded. My only depth concern will be the OL...but we have some experience there and the new additions should help.

The DL is a perfect example of decent depth...with just Suh and Baker and McCraken you can add Caesar and ARP and a few more and you have a 3 deep rotation. OUr linebackers should be better for it and OUr DBs have lots of experience. On paper we look scary.

Hoping Burks gets healthy and gets to show why he was so highly regarded.

You know Suh is from the Bahamas.....wonder if the Bahamas Bowl had any influence over his decision.

Thinking Mr. Daxon has not felt in control of this process. After Louisville pulled the rug from under him, now late in the process, he ran into Tremayne Scott from Ohio. He discusses Ohio with some close to him with stability a requirement. Who can offer more than Ohio? So Tremayne + Ohio stability = Mr. Daxon In Green.

All supposition on my part.

Don't forget all the Florida players now on the roster. Did he visit Athens? Some of them may have assured him that he would like Athens, and that the coaching was good.

He did visit. Tremayne Scott, Hagan, Hooks, Zervos, Mitchell, Minter are a few from Fla. There must be more.
