Big Robbery in the Big House.
If that happened to us I would never calm down. Absolutely insane.

My son watched the game in The Pigskin on Court St. I texted him after the game should have ended and the refs added 1 second on the clock, giving UM one more play, that I had a feeling the result would be a game-winning TD for UM. He said he couldn't describe the outrage from The Pigskin crowd. I gotta believe all CFB fans, with exception of UM fans, are outraged.

Michigan also got away with a running into the punter before their second to last possession as well, rules analyst confidently called it a foul.

If you search "WMU robbed" on YouTube, there are plenty of videos covering this.

I found this one to be good at clearly showing what happened.

Do any of us think the same thing wouldn't happen to us if we were in that situation playing OSU at the Shoe? I watched a decent amount of football yesterday and I would say the refs were clearly still in pre-season mode.

CMU with a very disappointing showing. Only 30 yards passing at New Mexico. Hopefully Spence Nowinski can give us some tips.

I still don't see indisputable video evidence that the ball was touched with time left. And I'm disappointed in the MAC's statement which completely bends over and takes it.

100%. The standard to overturn is allegedly clear and obvious. You can't clearly see the WMU player touch the ball from that angle (not to mention the countdown from the play's beginning), but it's obvious the obsequious MAC said thank you may I have another. Terrible.

If I’m WMU I file a lawsuit. Claim that the screw job (truthfully) could cause a massive loss of potential future earnings.

That magical extra second Michigan got could cost WMU and the MAC a college football playoff spot.

File it in Indiana where the NCAA headquarters are at.

Or find a reason to file it in Ohio, they’ll get Michigan’s national title from a few years ago rewarded to them as restitution. Lol

Fortunately WMU has Boise State on the schedule this year so a loss to Michigan isn't critical. Boise State is also playing Memphis so if they get through that game with a win and then lose at Western, WMU will have the best playoff resume in the G6

How the game ended in Ann Arbor last night reminded me of a stat I recently came across. Something like how the team leading with 0:00 left in the game is 120,000 - 0 in the history of CFB.

Until 9-5-26.

Steinbrecher needs canned after that stunt. If you're advocating for the best of the league, sitting back and taking that is not how you do it. This is also on top of the addition of Sac State for god knows what stupid reasons.

Worst part is, Big Ten trying to pretend what we didn't see and somehow tell us they have a "secret clock" reeks of corruption like no other. Orwell would be mortified of what the Big Ten is trying to do

From what I've heard WMU is not taking this quite as sanguine as the MAC office. I guess we'll find out soon.

Based off of some reporting I’m seeing they need to work on getting testimony from other officials.

Good point. Thanks for the post. Good article. It's time for some accountability.

I don't have much respect for the WMU president either. His job is to advocate for his school. He came across as somebody who wanted to get in front of the camera as fast as possible and act above it all. I guess he doesn't want to jeopardize future Rig Ten paydays.

How many of you remember Ohio at NC State in the early 2000s? I thought then and still think Ohio got homered.

I didn't see that game--it was before I could easily watch all games.

I do remember the Yazdani delay-of-game kick vs Minnesota in 2015. If that had happened on a Saturday night national telecast against Michigan, it would've received a lot of attention.

I remember. I was watching on TV. At that time, it was not permitted for a player to recover and advance his own fumble, yet that's what happened on the winning play for NC State. In that same era, Marshall played a game in which NC State was given five downs, rather than four, to make the line to gain on its winning drive. This was well documented and WSAZ ran clips of it for weeks. I've always rooted against NC State because of these irregularities.

The game clock fiasco was appalling, but so was WMU’s defense on the last play. They had a defender just stand there about 10 yards off the line spying on the UofM quarterback. He didn't do anything that play but watch. Imagine if he had been placed at the goal line, maybe we wouldn’t even be talking about any of this.
