It is interesting to say the least to think about how much college football has changed over the years, but what is even more interesting is how the offseason plays out in this era.
We now see this new component in college sports and more specifically in college football where there is a period that players who aren't happy where they are move on to different programs. Looking into it in even more depth we see this new trend of what I like to call "The Grad-Transfer Free Agency". This usually consists of players who are not winning the job at their original program and guys who are trying to gain more exposure by moving into a bigger program. Great examples of this can be the Dru Brown transferring to Oklahoma State from Hawaii and Alex Malzone from Michigan to Miami. There is even such thing as a grad transfer tracker website:
https://gradtransfertracker.com
/
So my discussion is what are your thoughts on this component of the offseason and whether you like it or not. If Joe Burrow gets beat out this spring, is he this offseason's biggest "Free Agent"? Is he coming to OU? Nebraska? Could Rourke decide to leave and make his mark at a Power 5 conference if this upcoming season is another huge success for him? Give me your overall thoughts on the whole topic.

Burrow yes, Rourke no.

Burrow is not coming to Athens, really the only "reason" he has would be to play while his father is still a coach. I've said it before, I think he wants to stay away from Athens. He believes he can start for OSU so I really doubt he would leave the big 10.
Rourke could leave at some point but I think that would really be based on this upcoming season. If he completely dominates, and outsiders start to whisper in his ear, then I could see him leaving.
Both situations are doubtful in my opinion, especially Burrow coming back to Athens.

if Burrow were to stay in the BIG 10 then who could you see him moving to? If it will happen it will be this spring moving into the summer so we can look based off of their current depth charts. I know there is buzz around Nebraska being a potential spot/target because of the relations Jim Burrow and Frost have...Minnesota? Purdue? Michigan if Shea Patterson isn't eligible to play this season?!? Now that would be a wild turn of events.

Nebraska is more than likely the destination if he even leaves at all. He still has a shot to win the job in Columbus, albeit the odds are not in his favor. In the articles I've read, he is pretty confident in himself and I'm sure Urban is telling him everything he wants to hear to keep him to stay. I'm sure there are some on this board that know some inside info that I don't but we're more than likely going to have to wait to see how this plays out.

Get real! Nathan is our QB this season and JB is not coming to Athens. Urban will try his best to string all QB's along as long as he can. The Bobcats have a fine QB and if Burrow leaves it won't be for the MAC.

I don't see Rourke heading to a "P5" school unless they just about guarantee he would be a starter. He'll get more PT at Ohio than he would at almost any "P5" and consequently more exposure (thanks in part to the "O Canada" segment on ESPN's College Football Final). Moving from a "G5" to a "P5" rarely works out.
We will get by.
We will get by.

We will survive.

Also from what I’ve been told Rourke is very loyal to Solich. Thankful to him for taking a chance on him.

I'd have to disagree with that point. Seems much more likely he would transfer to somewhere low-mid tier Big Ten program or even a MAC program than to go FCS like that.

Do we see YSU in his future? FCS, and lots of Nebraska and O$U connections.

I've had enough of threads/posts with the name "Burrow" that aren't about our Defensive Coordinator. We have an exciting young QB heading into this year. I'd like to focus on that.

Supposedly on track to graduate this year and be free to transfer anywhere he wants with 2 years remaining so FCS isn't going to happen.

Many college grads do end up living at home right after school. So that's a possibility.

Please correct me if I’m wrong BTC, but aren’t graduate transfers limited to one year only. An FCS transfer before graduation would give him two years.

No, Grad transfers are only limited by the basic rules of eligibility, you have 5 to play 4. That is all, currently he is 3 for 2, so if he graduates this spring, he will have 2 years to play elsewhere
