Seeing power forwards from Kentucky makes me remember Carson Williams and how having him with BVP and Jason Carter would have been a lethal frontcourt. Speaking of which, his career took quite the turn. Didn't realize he actually made an NFL roster for a while.

Beyond huge! Can mods change his height from 6'8 to 6'10? Let's not short-change the kid.

And, at his age, the kid's probably still growing, so 7-0 is probably not out of the question, FearLeon. However, he might have trouble breaking into the lineup right away in the 2024 with Wiznitzer 3.0 starting his senior year. ;-)

Awesome get. Part of me wishes he could reclassify and enroll early but nice to land a much needed big nonetheless.

I see that Kentucky got a verbal from a big man yesterday. I wonder if that figured into his decision

Totally agree....but just happy that this staff is understanding we have to develop a quality big from the HS level and not necessarily rely on portal bigs each season where we got out paid this go-around for targets.

OCF....I can't think of The Whiz 3.0 until I mentally recover from The Whiz 1.0 this past season!

I am not seeing him listed at 6'10 anywhere - all I see is 6'8

Evans, coming in a 6’10” himself, has taken full advantage of his height, averaging 16.1 points per game on a very efficient 62.2% shooting, most of which comes from the interior.

“Even though he’s 6-(foot-)10, he’s not really a post player,” Haire said. “But I have no need for a 6-10 person to be hanging around the perimeter. Next level, he’ll be playing a totally different spot.”

This signing has me pumped! A young talented center prospect with a ton of potential. The future of Ohio basketball looks bright with the caliber of talent Boals is bringing to Athens.

Oh for sure. Guards/wings in the portal and bigs from HS might be the formula. Is there ANY chance he can reclassify? Been seeing that a lot on Twitter this summer with other recruits.

Just a verbal, not a signing for a while. Cross our fingers or whatever

Poor word choice on my part. I’m aware that we have a wait until signing day. Hopefully nothing changes between now and then.
